Disappointing Experience - Not a 5-Star Hotel
I stayed in a Suite for 4 nights (Jan 1–5). After traveling around Thailand for 10 days in various suites, I moved here from Pattaya after the New Year countdown, and it was a huge letdown.
Room Condition: The room smelled like mold, and the AC was as loud as thunder. I complained to the manager, and they moved me to a "higher category" suite. It felt more like a cheap guesthouse with a fridge and washing machine, though at least it didn't smell and had a large bathroom.
Amenities: Do not use them. They are poor quality, and there wasn't even any body lotion.
Bedding: The bedding was decent. However, Bangkok gets chilly in January. For a "5-star" hotel, they should provide goose down or thicker duvets.
Pool: Very small. Half is in the shade, and the sun only hits the other half for a few hours. If you want to tan, you have to grab a spot by 7 AM. I do not recommend this hotel for sunbathers.
Service: Terrible. The reception staff didn't even show me to my room—just threw a key at me and mumbled in barely understandable English. Breakfast staff were useless; they didn't clear plates, and when asked, they just smirked and walked away. No greetings, no hospitality.
Location & Food: There are many bars nearby, but they are overpriced. There was nothing much to eat at breakfast either.
This is a 3-star hotel at best, with motel-level service. Bangkok is getting expensive, and with the rising Baht, the value for money here is non-existent.
