Burg Rabenstein

Beautiful interior, especially enjoyable was the "Kaminzimmer" with an open fireplace and cozy furniture. Christmas decorations everywhere giving the rooms a festive feeling. We enjoyed a nice dinner at the "Burg Restaurant" and ended the evening in front of the fireplace. Breakfast was plenty and the staff was very attentive. We would have loved to receive a guided tour through their own "Greifvögel Gehege " but the birds are resting now at their winter break. We would definitely come again.

The fact that the Castle (Restaurant, Falken Show, and Sophies Cave ) are all closed on Monday is very inconvenient. At least it should made know before booking.

This castle Hotel is in a beautiful natural area with hiking trails and small villages.

The castle is fantastic and the rooms are too. Be very careful with pricing. The manager clearly rips people off. Pay double for your food, be lied to about a "free" tour and the excuse will be, "oh it's an issue with Wotif and language dirrerences. I'll need to sort that." And be aware you may be charged for your room twice. We were. Don't trust them.

Bathroom war very modern, the room itself very big - super! Cleanlyness was okay but could have been better. Receprion at arrival was subpar, that could have been more friendly in general, didn't feel welcomed. But all in all, great hotel!
