We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Baru Calablanca. The hotel is new, well-kept, with all you need to spend several days in your little paradise. The food from French chef in Calablanca restaurant was pefect. The beach and pool facilities can accomodate all guests and you don't need to look for a sunbed or an umbrella. The only minor minus - hard to find the hotel if you are travelling with your own car, no signs on the road at all.

An Unforgettable Luxury Escape in Barú! From the moment we arrived at Sofitel Barú Cartagena, everything felt like pure paradise. The staff were exceptionally warm, attentive, and made every interaction feel personal. The resort itself is stunning — elegant architecture, lush tropical surroundings, and one of the most breathtaking beachfronts I’ve ever seen. Our room was immaculate, beautifully designed, and offered gorgeous ocean views that made every sunrise magical. The dining experience was phenomenal — from the breakfast buffet to the fine dining options, every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The pools, spa, and activities were all world-class, and I loved how the resort perfectly balances relaxation and adventure. Whether lounging by the infinity pool with a cocktail or exploring the private beach, every moment felt special. I can’t say enough about the service — every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Sofitel Barú is easily one of the best luxury resorts in Colombia, and I would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended for anyone seeking elegance, comfort, and exceptional hospitality in a tropical setting. 🌴✨

Love the hotel 10/10 very clean and staff is very friendly worth every dollar. Only thing I would say there isn’t nothing to do out side of resort your kinda isolated in so bring everything you can from the city.

The property was beautiful. However, it’s very isolated so the only dining options available are on the property. The pricing for the restaurants were way more than we expected for the quality of food served. Even when paying in USD, the average price was $30-40 for a course. Even the more “casual restaurants” were expensive and the food was underwhelming. The hotel was gorgeous, but probably won’t be returning due to the dining options.
