ANA Holiday Inn Iwate Kitakami by IHG

Good location & besides Kitakami river bank, Rooms is spacious compare to typical Japanese hotel. Meal was delicious.

We stayed here for 2 nights to go skiing in Geto Kogen. The hotel was newly renovated and very clean, much like a business hotel. Hotel rooms size are decent which can fit 2 snowboard bags and a luggage. There is an indoor onsen at the basen ment which was value added.

Great river view during sakura season. We travel with rental car (lots of parking) but the location also nearby train station too. Breakfast was great.

The hotel is in a very convenient and great location. However, the highlight for me was the room—it was surprisingly spacious for a Japanese hotel. From the room, you can enjoy a beautiful riverside view, which made the stay even more special. If you visit in April, the cherry blossoms along the river are absolutely stunning. I was truly impressed and had a wonderful experience. 🌸

Decent clean rooms... small with basic amenities. Room interior fittings looks new, but the bathtub was a tad old. Location is fairly near Kitakami JR station, say 10 or 15mins walk. There's a nice river view facing the back, and good for morning stroll. All else, it was a short transit stopover stay for my group. Hadn't use any of their facilities

Very nice view over the river from the breakfast hall. Breakfast was enjoyable.

Newly renovated hotel with spacious rooms and nice river view. Japanese and western style daily buffet breakfast included. There's also a public bath, coin laundry, fitness room and free parking for hotel guests. Excellent location as it's near the train station. The only thing is they blocked the smart TV features so I couldn't watch YouTube, Netflix etc. Hotel staff are nice and offered to change rooms for our friends. I'd definitely come back to this hotel if I visit Kitakami again!
