InterContinental Hotels CHONGQING RAFFLES CITY by IHG

I stayed for two nights at a hotel supposedly ranked among the top 15 luxury hotels in Chongqing. The location was indeed excellent. However, after the landscape lights turn off at 10:30 PM, you're pretty much stuck inside the hotel. If the facilities and service aren't up to par, you'll be disappointed. In the end, I chose the InterContinental Chongqing Raffles City for my last night. Before I even arrived, I received a welcoming call. Before I even checked out, they proactively offered a late checkout based on my travel plans. I praised Xiao Luo (a staff member), and he simply said, 'That's what we're supposed to do.' Frankly, it lives up to its reputation, and that's what truly matters!

InterContinental hotels are consistently excellent, as always! 👍 The breakfast was incredibly rich and diverse, and the dining environment and service were superb 🌹. They truly go above and beyond – the InterContinental Chongqing Raffles City will definitely exceed your expectations! 🙌

The room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Room service was excellent, highly recommend! The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including some delicious Chongqing specialties. The Chinese restaurant had great food with a rich selection of dishes. Overall, it was a good stay.

The overall service was excellent. We forgot our child's swimming cap in the room after checking out, and June from guest services reminded us and actively helped us retrieve it. A special thank you to her! I've even penned a small poem: Star Key, Star Key, Cloud-shrouded sails, a scattered spree. Elegant rooms, clear pools, guests' glee, Breakfast abundant, tasty, for all to see. Tasty, for all to see, Yummy Chongqing noodles, savory and free.

Excellent hotel! A landmark building in Chongqing. The front desk staff thoughtfully arranged a room with a river view for us, which my child absolutely loved. I thought checkout was at noon and asked if we could check out a bit later. The front desk informed me we could extend it until 2 PM, which allowed my child to enjoy swimming. It was truly delightful! My child said next time we come to Chongqing, we still want to stay at the InterContinental. The only minor regret is that it was my child's fifth birthday today, and he mentioned that every other time we've stayed at an InterContinental, they've given him a gift, but not this time. Kids say the darndest things, no need to take it to heart! 😂

The hotel is great, a landmark building, convenient for getting anywhere. There's a shopping mall downstairs with direct elevator access for shopping and dining. The cruise terminal is also right downstairs. However, because it's a landmark building, you have to wait for an elevator on the first floor to reach the hotel lobby on the 42nd floor, and then transfer to another elevator to your room. Having to compete for elevators on the first floor with various tourists and guests going to restaurants and bars is really bad. There should really be a dedicated elevator for hotel guests. For takeout, you have to go downstairs to pick it up yourself. The toiletries are very low-quality, truly subpar, just bulk-packaged generic stuff. For this price, individually packaged brand-name toiletries would be more appropriate. There are complimentary bottled water in the room, but everything in the minibar is charged! Breakfast is good, with a rich variety and plenty to eat, and the juice is freshly squeezed. Overall, it's still worth staying here. The changing room at the swimming pool on the 43rd floor has washing machines where you can do a quick load of laundry.

The hotel's location in Chaotianmen is fantastic, right downstairs from Metro Line 1, making it super convenient for getting around. The room was clean and tidy. We were traveling with our child, and the breakfast was very extensive and delicious – we were really satisfied. The service was top-notch. Chongqing is such a beautiful city; we'll definitely be back!

InterContinental Chongqing Raffles City boasts the best location, right at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers. Both the hotel's facilities and services are excellent. The rooms are spacious and bright, offering some of the best views of the city. Breakfast is extensive, and the service is top-notch. It's just a bit on the pricey side, though!

The shower faucet selector was a bit tricky; if you accidentally turned it the wrong way, you'd get blasted with cold water. The breakfast area was incredibly crowded and narrow, with groups of people jostling in several small aisles. I called for an extra tote bag, but it never arrived even after an hour, so I just checked out without it.
