I had a great stay here while snowboarding at Geto Kogen! The hotel is super close to the resort—very convenient. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent with generous portions. It was quiet with few guests during my visit. The onsen was clean, and they even have a private onsen you can use for free. If you're coming to ride Geto Kogen, I definitely recommend staying here!

The hotel staff were warm and polite, but the facilities were old and dilapidated. The heating was insufficient, the hot water was inadequate, and the water pressure for showers was low. The water in the public bathhouse was practically cold; one needed to soak in the hot springs to maintain body temperature.

Stayed there for 9 days The location is halfway up the mountain It’s about ten minutes’ drive from Xiayou Plateau Ski Resort. The environment is very comfortable The meals that come with the room are not bad, but they are a bit boring to eat every day. If you eat out, you need to inform the front desk that you will not be dining in the hotel. However, the fact that no meal charges are not refunded makes people feel a little upset. Everything else is fine Hot spring pools are very diverse It’s best to soak in an open-air hot spring on a snowy day

Traditional style onsen in the countryside. Slightly old looking but very comfortable with good amenities and friendly staff. It’s located close to the Geto kogen ski slopes, a short drive from Kitakami. On google maps it’s only written in Japanese - 瀬美温泉. Next to the river so you can enjoy river views from your room or the outdoor bath (rotemburo). There are two small private baths and you reserve one included in the price. If you want to use it more than once it costs an extra ¥500. It cost ¥34,000 for a night in a room with a river view with breakfast and dinner included. It was good value as we paid ¥44,000 for a similar onsen in Yamagata. I was able to book directly on their website. Highly recommended.
