Hotelette Seoul Station

I want to non star except location but I had to at least one. I have traveled to many countries and stayed in plenty of budget hotels and very basic accommodations. I do not expect luxury when I book an inexpensive hotel, and I can easily accept a very small room. However, this was honestly the worst place I have ever stayed. The biggest problem was the extremely strong urine-like smell throughout the room. The smell in the shower area was especially bad. It was so strong that I honestly could not tell whether I was cleaning myself or coming out smelling like urine. I washed my hair and body as quickly as possible while trying to hold my breath. Instead of feeling clean and refreshed after my shower, I felt uncomfortable putting clean clothes on and then letting them touch the bed, so I actually put the same clothes back on. There was also a short hair on top of the bedsheet, which made me feel very uncomfortable about lying directly on the bed. I ended up putting a towel down before lying on it. Even the towels provided were quite small and were not the size of a normal bath towel. I was exhausted after a long day of traveling and desperately needed some rest, so I eventually lay down wearing a face mask because of the smell. It honestly felt like I was trying to sleep inside a toilet. The smell eventually made me feel nauseous and gave me a headache, and I was barely able to sleep. My room was also right next to the reception area, and I could clearly hear people talking outside. The bathroom and shower area were extremely cramped as well. The following morning, I could not tolerate staying in the room any longer, so I checked out much earlier than I had originally planned and went to Seoul Station. To be clear, I am not giving this rating because the room was small. I knew I was booking budget accommodation and did not expect luxury. All I expected was a clean place without an overpowering unpleasant smell where I could feel comfortable enough to sleep. I have traveled extensively and stayed in many inexpensive accommodations around the world, but unfortunately, this was the worst accommodation experience I have ever had. The location near Seoul Station is convenient, but based on my experience, I would never stay here again. Before booking, I read many positive reviews, which is why I chose this hotel. After my experience, I honestly do not understand why the reviews are so good. Perhaps I was simply unlucky and the room I was assigned was an exception. I can only describe the room and the conditions that I personally experienced during my stay.

1 min walking from Seoul Station (exit 10). Small cozy room. Good for the price. Free water. Nice and friendly staff.

Very convenuent location, just next to exit 10 of Seoul ststion. Room clean n quiet, n quite well equipoed, but very compact, not convenient if having big luggage.

Great stay, really near to Seoul station(exit was right next to hotel). Although room was small, it us totally enough for me.

The location is very convenient and close to Seoul station. It is at the back of the police station (seems safe). The room provides all necessary thongs. But it is really small and the bed is not so comfortable, especially if you are a big guy.

Basically, I enjoy my stay. The best part of the hotel is a location very close to the soul station in the city center with a good price level. The front staff is very polite. Room is a small brother with everything you need. They have an unlimited free bottle of water downstairs. The only part I’m not satisfied is they did not change bed sheets, because I was found several women’s long hair in my bed. I think change bedsheets for the new guest is a must,I stay here for a few nights, if you don’t change for me, it’s fine but for the first day it’s supposed to be cleaned up.

It is very conveniently located at the gate 10 exit of the Seoul Station. Room is small fitting only a bed, small TV and bathroom

Location is very good, next to Seoul subway station exit 10. I arrived in the early morning, picked up the room key and went on bed once arrived Seoul.
