After a long deliberation between The Rosewood and The Regent, I ultimately chose The Regent for its supposedly better views. Mr. Zheng Ziqian at the front desk was incredibly nice, chatting with us enthusiastically and providing a detailed introduction to the hotel's rooms and various restaurants. He particularly recommended The Steak House for dinner, which I found absolutely satisfying.
Despite the hotel being busy recently, I was thrilled to get an upgrade from a Victoria Harbour View room with a window-side chaise lounge to a Deluxe Victoria Harbour View room. Although it meant sacrificing a bathtub, the view was much more complete with three full glass panels, and the room itself was larger with a more spacious vanity area. Upon check-in, I received a box of Dubai chocolates and a box of pastries, and a birthday cake was delivered in the evening. Enjoying delicious treats while overlooking the night view of Victoria Harbour was an absolutely superb experience.
Dinner was a last-minute decision to book The Steak House, as recommended by Mr. Zheng Ziqian. Not only was the beef of excellent quality, but every other dish was also perfectly satisfying. We were served by an older gentleman, Ng Jeffrey, who was equally enthusiastic. He gave us a detailed introduction to the various cuts of beef and discussed different cuisines from Hong Kong and Shenzhen with us. It was a delightful meal and a perfect end to my birthday. My experience this time was exceptional, and I would definitely choose The Regent Hong Kong again on my next visit. I've also recommended it to my family and friends. 😊
