The Horse Shoe Farm

Marlene Aydlette is the reason for the one star. Stayed numerous nights to have a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Marlene Aydlette will ruin it. Consider yourself warned. Would not go back as long as she is there.

This visit was our first after being recommended by friends. Our accommodations were wonderful and the property is so quiet and peaceful! The Silo Cookhouse was the absolute best part of our visit, from the amazing food to the wonderful service we received. We definitely recommend this place for a serene getaway!

Pool area had no clean pool towels . No one in the area checking on this . Stable where horses and goats were had extremely dirty water that looked like it hasn’t been changed in days. Food at the restaurant was below average. Many food items were not available. Prices are very high for what you get . Understaffed. Mosquitoes were all in the pool bathroom and sauna areas. Game room was a mess no one around to keep it tidy .cold plunge not working Pro : room was clean and linens were clean . Loved seeing the animals roam . Smores were offered at night Water and tea at pool available

This was my second visit to the Farm. This time I brought my daughter hoping to have an amazing mother daughter trip. We stayed at the Lily Cottage. The cottage was very clean and looked exactly like the picture. The second day we enjoyed a wonderful spa day. It was just as I had remembered. Friendly staff and we both enjoyed our spa treatments. The restaurant was horrible. I had a 2:30 spa appointment and we arrived at the Silo at 1:20pm hoping to have a quick brunch and walk over to the spa. I ordered eggs with potatoes and fruit and it took over an hour. I had to leave without eating so I wouldn’t miss my spa appointment. That evening, we had reservations for dinner. Once again, we were disappointed. The food was bland and terrible. Nothing at all like I remembered from my first visit in April of 2023. My Daughters food was so bad, I had to take her to pick up a pizza after we left. As we were leaving we noticed that the restaurant had a B sanitation grade. For what I paid, to stay at this resort, this was unacceptable.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Everyone was so kind. Loved the pool area with a view. The brunch included with our stay was a cherry on top. Wasn’t your basic continental breakfast. Also, loved that we could enjoy the place a bit longer after checking out. The perfect tranquil place to escape to. Will definitely be back!

Meeting the staff daily, and talking with John the owner was exciting!

Everything is so well done, peaceful and beautiful. I highly recommend!

Every staff member went out of his/her way to make us more comfortable.

Property very nice but... Loved the property. However, breakfast was really not that good. Cold stale biscuits, cold boiled eggs, dry toast with really no options for jam etc. Quiche was mediocre at best. Was supposed to be a fire in the fire pit but none that night. Overall poor experience. Loved the property though and will give it another try when it is more in season with more people and hopefully better amenities.
