Cape Weligama - Relais and Chateaux

I experienced three Relais & Châteaux resorts during my trip to Sri Lanka. This one is a stunning resort perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. The villas are huge and chilly, and the pool water is kept at a comfortable temperature. There's also a hidden gem next to the Moon Pool, with a path leading down to a cliff offering breathtaking panoramic sunset views. The hotel service was incredibly attentive, meticulously addressing all guest requests – truly worthy of Relais & Châteaux!

Except for being expensive, there is nothing wrong with it. The hotel is owned by Dilmah, a famous tea brand in Sri Lanka. The whole hotel is on a cliff, so the beach is relatively weak, with only two small beaches, but it is a surfing paradise. The room density is very low, and the privacy is excellent. There will be a welcome drink when you check in, and you can order coconut or juice beer. The suite is very large, especially the bathroom, and the shower room can also be used as a wet steam room. Breakfast is ordered, with many choices, but they are all Western style, and the fruits are delicious. The room service is very good, and the towel elephants folded on the second night were so cute. I actually saw many peacocks walking in the hotel. The picture of animals and humans living in harmony is very interesting~

We arrived at the Cape Weligama Hotel at 2 pm on September 30, 2023. This hotel is on a cliff and is one of the three Roland & Chateau Group hotels in Sri Lanka. Whales can sometimes be seen from the hotel from November to April. The location is good, a bit similar to the Bulgari Hotel in Bali, but not as big as the Bulgari and the service is average. Dinner can basically only be eaten from the hotel, which feels not cheap, and the breakfast is very rich. You can see lizards and peacocks from the hotel. Recently, a new naturalist has arrived, who can take children to collect leaves and observe various animals, which is very interesting. However, I only stayed in this hotel once to experience it, and I will not stay there again.

Facilities: It maintains the dignity of a five-star hotel. But after all, the hotel is old, so it is unrealistic to expect the equipment to be more up-to-date and trendy. Environment: Needless to say, the swimming pool is excellent. Super production. The hotel's ecology is great. It can be said to be the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in in Sri Lanka. Service: Very considerate and responsive. Service with a smile lives up to its reputation. Hygiene: Very clean and hygienic. The food is also very good and rich in variety.
