IntercityHotel Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street

I came to Chongqing for a squash U-tournament this time and purposely arrived a few days early to explore. I'm so happy with the hotel I booked! The location is fantastic. It's just a one-minute walk from the hotel to Jiaochangkou subway station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety, with both spicy and non-spicy options. They even have free afternoon tea! Chongqing's roads can be tiring to walk, so after exploring in the morning, we'd come back to the hotel for afternoon tea to recharge before heading out again in the evening. There are also two small pools on the rooftop, but the water was a bit chilly due to recent rain. Still, the night view of Shibatiao from the rooftop is amazing. The hotel service is excellent too. The front desk offers free tea, and they even gave us two cans of tea when we checked out. With the National Day holiday recently, they also provided small gifts like mini flags and National Day hair clips when we left – so cute! The hotel butler was also very thoughtful. They added us on WeChat and shared information about Chongqing's attractions, transportation, and things to note. Next time I visit Chongqing, I'll definitely choose this place again. I hope the price stays the same!

The transportation is incredibly convenient, with a subway station right outside, making it easy to get to all the popular attractions. It was also super handy for our Wulong trip, as the tourist bus stop was close by. There are plenty of dining options at Deyitianchi. The night view from the top floor is beautiful, and the kids will love the pool. We booked a family room for my 14-year-old son. It's not huge but very clean, and the amenities in the room are good – coffee, tea, fruit, and cola. The toiletries are decent, though the toothbrush isn't great. The breakfast selection isn't vast, but it's refined and starts at 6:30 AM. The staff are all quite enthusiastic.

IntercityHotel is a new property that opened just last year. Located right in the heart of Jiefangbei, it checks all the boxes—convenient transportation, plenty of nearby dining options, warm service, and comfortable accommodations. Upon check-in, the front desk staff proactively upgraded us to a room with a night view, which made our stay even better. After dinner, we took a river cruise to enjoy the dazzling, one-of-a-kind river views. Returning to the hotel still buzzing with excitement, we opened the window to keep soaking in the breathtaking nightscape of Chongqing. Breakfast featured a wide and high-quality selection; the coffee was so rich and aromatic that I couldn't resist getting a second cup—a delicious breakfast to kick off an energetic day. IntercityHotel is definitely worth bookmarking and recommending.

An exceptionally satisfying stay! Before checking in, I noticed the hotel is right next to Shibati, Deyichang World, and Bayi Food Street, and just a few minutes' walk to Jiefangbei—an absolute paradise for foodies and shoppers. The room was impeccably clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. The breakfast offered authentic Chongqing noodles and wontons, with a great variety starting as early as 6:30 AM, which was perfect for enjoying a nice meal before heading out for an early itinerary. The pool, gym, and laundry room were all fully equipped. I especially loved the rooftop pool and small bar; it was so relaxing to catch the evening breeze and take in the night views of Shibati. Finally, a huge shout-out to the lovely and sweet front desk staff, who checked in on us every night, offered complimentary milk ☺️, and gave us fantastic food recommendations. This will definitely be my top choice next time I'm in Chongqing. Highly recommended!

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were all very welcoming. The hotel has an unbeatable location—right next to the subway and a food street, and just a few minutes' walk to Jiefangbei. You can even order a cocktail upstairs at the hotel and enjoy the night view of Shibati!
