Kitamura Onsen Hotel

This was my first time staying here. I was staying with my elderly mother, and we were very satisfied with the hot springs. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The staff were all very kind and helpful. The only thing I would mention is that my elderly mother has bad knees and has difficulty sitting on the floor, and our room was probably the smallest tatami room for two people. There was no chair in the room, which was a little inconvenient. I later realized that if we had asked for a chair, they probably would have lent one to us. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

We stayed here as a family. The hot springs were very relaxing, but be aware that they don't stay open very late at night. The room was clean and nice.

I booked a room-only stay because I wanted to relax in this hot spring. The quality of the hot spring water was excellent, and it completely relieved the chills I'd been feeling lately. I'm so grateful! I've used it for a day trip before, and it was incredibly crowded and not very relaxing...and it was still crowded this time. The quality of the spring water is undeniably popular, but staying overnight allows for a quieter bath in the morning. Day-trippers are only allowed until 9:30 pm, so there were still a steady stream of guests in the evening, but it did get a little quieter after 9 pm. I'd like to stay overnight again next time. The room was a small Japanese-style room that had been renovated with a bed, but the small size was just right and made it very comfortable. There was roasted green tea and a capsule coffee maker, and amenities included a brush, toothbrush, and razor. The room wear was a samue (traditional Japanese work clothing), and there was also a hot spring basket. I plan to stay overnight again. The hot spring water is simply amazing!

Since we were combining it with a ski trip and a visit to a hot spring, the reasonable price was great. The open-air bath, in particular, didn't offer a view, but the snowy scenery was beautiful and the temperature was just right. It would have been even better if we had a room with a bed.

A super clean hot spring resort in the countryside, mostly used by locals. The rooms are big enough and look new. There is a convenience store opposite, so it's fine if you don't purchase meals. It's suitable for self-driving tours.

The Kitamura Hot Spring Hotel has a tranquil environment, excellent hot spring water, and an open-air bath that is particularly relaxing. The room is clean and tidy. Although the equipment is a little old, it is well maintained. The meals are Japanese set meals and taste good. The service staff is friendly and polite, and the overall stay experience is comfortable. It is very suitable for travelers who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a slow life.

This is my third stay here. The hot springs are great, as always! They warm you right to the core!

Hotels in Sapporo are becoming increasingly expensive, so I decided on the Kitamura Onsen Hotel, which is about an hour from Sapporo. It's a little far from the city center and inconvenient, but it's helpful that there's a Seico Mart right in front of it. It's like a hot spring facility with a hotel attached. The hot spring is large and there are many locals. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I recommend it.

I went there in May, and even though it was as hot as July, there was no air conditioner in the guest room. The air conditioners were on in the dressing room, the hall, and the hallway. It was hot in the middle of the night, so I called the front desk to ask for a fan, but they didn't answer the phone for a while. When I finally got through, they were in a bad mood, probably because they were sleepy, and asked if I wanted a fan. They just hung up the phone and said, "Do you have one?" After that, there was no response or contact, and I couldn't sleep all night. In the morning, when I went out to the hallway to eat breakfast, there was a fan sitting there in the hallway away from the room. The staff member's response was like that of a sleepy child who was woken up in a bad mood. I was shocked.
