The room was clean and comfortable, the shuttle service was great, the breakfast was delicious, the courtyard is very photogenic, and the host was kind. Highly recommended!

This Pingyao guesthouse is in the perfect location within the ancient city—just a short walk to the main street, making it very convenient for sightseeing. The courtyard has a traditional charm that really gives off the vibe of a historic Shanxi merchant compound. At night, the lit-up lanterns make it fantastic for photos. The room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and comfortable. The owner and staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, even taking the initiative to explain the map and recommend travel routes for us. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay. If you're coming to Pingyao, choosing this place is a safe bet—highly recommended!

The room was small, and the bathroom had no window, which led to a slight odor. The hotel is located right inside the ancient city and is an old-style building. They offer free traditional Chinese clothing for guests to wear and take photos. The owner provided excellent service.

Exceeded expectations overall! The room was well-equipped, with plenty of hot water and effective air conditioning. The courtyard was quite spacious and charming, and the red lanterns really gave it an ancient town vibe. The location was great, about a three or four-minute walk to the main street. The owner was very friendly and patiently answered all our questions. While it's not a luxurious grand hotel, it was a comfortable and reassuring stay, perfect for experiencing local life in the ancient town!

They also patiently gave us a travel guide for Pingyao, offering practical advice on attractions and dining, which helped us avoid many detours. The room decor is beautiful, with an antique charm, and it's clean and tidy. The courtyard has a wonderful ambiance. Our one-night stay in the ancient city was extremely comfortable. Choosing this place for your Pingyao trip is a sure bet, and I'd definitely pick it again next time!

The bathroom could use some improvement, specifically a wet/dry separation. The bed linen had patches. There's also room for improvement with the breakfast.

The room was quaint and elegant, nestled right in the scenic surroundings. The service was warm and attentive; they helped with luggage and offered a shuttle service from the North Gate. What stood out, especially upon departure, was how genuinely enthusiastic they were in seeing us off, even gifting us a bottle of aged vinegar as a thoughtful souvenir. Truly exceptional!
