Candlewood Suites HARTFORD DOWNTOWN by IHG

Nice hotel for a few days. It’s close to the city center, comfortable, and I would definitely recommend it.

Reclining chair was broken, no extra blankets for a chilly night. Room noise was high even on the fifth floor. Tv reception was intermittent .no nearby restaurants and food supplies in their “cupboard” were unimaginative and meager.

Quiet hotel, great room, hotel is in a shady location but nobody bothered us. The front desk ladies were very nice. Walking distance to the Xfinity Theatre.

Everything was good and the hotel closer to good restaurants

Old everything. Don’t expect anything at all. The comforter looked like it had stuff spilled all over it in the past and continued to wear the stain marks. Be prepared to change your own sheets, and if you have an allergy to down, don’t expect a hypoallergenic replacement. Weary, I had to go to Walmart to buy a cheap pillow and pillowcase so I would not have an asthma attack, but still left there, cough, coughing, and wheezing.

Our suite was fine. But the hotel is so close to the road, the sound of cars can be heard all night long.

I spent 5 nights at the Candlewood Suites and it served the purpose of being between NYC and Boston for the World Cup very well. The staff were excellent, the location is excellent and everything else was very good, if not a little "tired" and in need of some refurbishment.

Sometimes the air conditioning doesn't wanna work when I try to higher it up it goes back to the same number
