Pickalbatros Citadel Resort Sahl Hasheesh

If you're looking for an all-inclusive resort to just relax, this is definitely the right choice. Although the room decor is a bit generic, the view from our room on the 2nd floor of Building 5 (here, 0 is the ground floor, 1 is the second floor) was absolutely stunning. If it's too sunny during the day, you can take the shuttle bus that runs every 15 minutes to the restaurant. In the evening, it's cooler and only a 10-minute walk. For snorkeling, head to the entry point next to the duck boat – there are tons of fish there. The restaurants are all pretty similar, serving typical Western food. The Italian restaurant, which requires reservations, just offers an à la carte menu and a quieter ambiance, but the dishes are largely the same. Basically, there's food and drinks available at different restaurants throughout the day.

This stay far exceeded my expectations and left me extremely satisfied. The food was excellent in every aspect – diverse and delicious. I felt completely chill at the hotel, which is exactly what a true vacation should be.

Check-in took us over an hour because the front desk kept saying they couldn't find our reservation. It was only resolved after we contacted Trip.com customer service to intervene. We booked a deluxe triple room, but upon arrival, we were taken to a standard double room, and the room key card didn't even work. The staff member took the shuttle back to the front desk to sort it out, leaving us waiting for 30 minutes. The room only had amenities for two people, missing toiletries for the third person. Communication in English was fine, but the staff's service attitude was very poor. We booked for two nights, and though we reluctantly stayed the first night to avoid more hassle, we switched hotels the next day. When checking out, we had to remind them three times to help with our luggage before they finally did anything. The overall check-in experience was extremely poor, and I do not recommend this hotel. Also, the food was absolutely terrible.

Although the room facilities are a bit old, the entire hotel is very large, and the public areas are beautiful. It was great to just wander around, eat, and shop. I really liked it.

An all-inclusive, top-tier hotel! Three meals a day, lay back and get pampered! The front desk service was very thoughtful, giving us the most distinctive room type in building 6, a very spacious room, but the ocean view from the balcony was slightly obstructed! I think the second-floor balconies in buildings 5 and 6 would have better views. Other buildings are either too noisy or might directly face the pool! The infinity pool is great, and you can see fish snorkeling in the lagoon. Booking excursions and diving through the hotel's dive center was also excellent! I highly recommend the main restaurant C in the lobby!

We stayed at Pickalbatros Citadel Resort Sahl Hasheesh for a few nights in June, and it was a great experience. Egypt is vast with attractions spread out, so we had early mornings and late nights every day initially, which was quite exhausting. Coming to Pickalbatros Citadel Resort Sahl Hasheesh for some rest and recuperation was very relaxing. The check-in process was generally smooth. It took about 15 minutes, and while we waited in the lobby, a staff member brought us juice and a hand towel. After checking in, a staff member with printed materials gave us a detailed introduction to the facilities, restaurants, and activities. When we walked to the main entrance, another staff member helped us with our luggage and took us to our room on a shuttle cart. I prefer quiet, smoke-free environments when staying at hotels, and the hotel arranged a room for us in Building 6, which was very quiet and private. I loved the cave design! It has a primitive and rustic charm that made me feel very peaceful. Our room service was provided by Mr. Mahmoud Abd Elal throughout our stay. On our first day, shortly after we entered the room, he knocked on our door with a smile, asking about our preferences and needs. The room was always kept clean and tidy, with plenty of beverages, and we got cute towel animals every day! Mr. Mahmoud's attentiveness and thoughtfulness made our entire stay very comfortable and reassuring. All the staff members we encountered at the hotel were very friendly. No matter where we sat down, they would promptly come over to ask what we wanted to drink and clear our plates in a timely manner. I remember one chef who was quite interesting; he reminded me about not eating certain foods together, concerned that Asian stomachs might not be accustomed to them 😬. There was a small hut being renovated near the beach, and the staff would proactively stop drilling whenever we walked past, which was also very thoughtful! I met two kittens here; one was very shy and looked dusty and very thin. I hope they continue to live well there. I miss them! ❤️

This is a large resort. From check-in, you can enjoy complimentary food and beverage services, and these services even extend after check-out. The rooms are well-equipped, spacious, and bright.
