This review is a formal warning to all parents and travelers booking this property under the assumption that advertised resort amenities will actually be available.Less than 24 hours prior to our scheduled summer arrival, management notified us that the resort pool was out of service. A pool is a primary reason families book a summer resort, particularly when traveling to an isolated location like Jackman, where alternative entertainment options for a 10-year-old child are virtually non-existent. Because a pool was vital to our stay, we were forced to immediately cancel our reservation.Upon requesting a refund or credit due to their inability to provide the advertised resort experience, management flatly refused to return our money. In an official email, they stated that the pool "isn't considered an essential resort amenity" and used their strict cancellation policy to retain our funds.Withholding known maintenance issues until the final 24 hours—when it is impossible for a traveler to cancel without penalty or find alternative accommodations—is a deeply deceptive business practice. Management demonstrated a complete lack of professional accountability and total disregard for their guests' time and money. I have attached a screenshot of their written response to this review as proof of their customer service standards. Avoid booking here if you expect transparency or fair business ethics.
