Sunday London Paddington Hotel

The hotel's location is very convenient, about a 10-minute walk from Paddington Station. Before checking in, I saw a lot of negative reviews online which made me quite nervous, but actually, none of the issues mentioned happened during my stay. Perhaps the hotel has improved, or maybe I was just lucky. I stayed in a deluxe single room equipped with a fridge, microwave, safe, hairdryer, toiletries, etc. The bed was also very clean and comfortable (even though it was two small mattresses pushed together, lol, but as long as you don't sleep in the middle, it's fine). I didn't encounter any safety issues during my stay, nor did I experience terrible soundproofing (perhaps because it was a corner room). It's worth mentioning that although the hotel has a lift, there's a short flight of stairs from the ground floor to the lift, which is unavoidable. Overall, my stay completely dispelled my concerns. While I can't guarantee everyone will have the same experience, perhaps my review can ease the worries of those who have already booked. Finally, if you need a reference, my room was 305, very close to the lift, and there was enough space inside the room for me to open two 26-inch suitcases. This might be helpful for those carrying large luggage!

The staff were quite enthusiastic. When I checked in, I couldn't find the entrance right away, and a staff member saw me and proactively came out to greet me. Although the hotel has an elevator, due to the split-level design, it was inconvenient to move luggage up and down. The biggest issue was a single, small step with a slight drop, covered by dark carpeting, making it very hard to spot. The hotel didn't have any warning signs, and I tripped twice. The next morning, my companion tripped over it and injured their finger.

The hotel's location was nice and pleasant. Being a 5-minute walk from the metro was a plus. Even the National Express stop for Stansted Airport, both for arrivals and departures, was very close by. While not perfect, the breakfast was good. The rooms were a bit small, but personally, it didn't bother me much. However, the biggest problem for me was the breakfast queue. Since the breakfast area is small, sometimes you had to wait 15-20 minutes to have breakfast.
