We enjoyed 2 relaxing nights at this charming Inn, in the Blagdon room, located on the 2nd floor of the main house. Rooms also are located in the cottage and barn, behind the main house. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean and airy (4 windows allowed lots of natural light in). Bedding felt luxurious. It had a fireplace, mini-fridge, 2 robes, coffeemaker. Bathroom was updated and had a nice shower. The house and grounds (6 acres, I believe) are lovely and well-maintained. A large outdoor pool, small but well-equipped fitness room, massage area, and various outdoor gathering spots round out the property. Due to its location near a highway, we could hear highway traffic at times, but it did not impact our sleep. Light sleepers potentially could be impacted. Breakfast during our stay was served from 8:30 to 10:30. The food was good and dietary issues, mentioned ahead of time, were accommodated without fuss. Seating for breakfast is comprised of small tables, which I prefer over one large communal table. I enjoyed the cappuccino’s that the fancy coffee machine made. Finally, Inn was conveniently located for visits to towns of Stockbridge & Great Barrington, Edith Wharton’s The Mount, Barrington Stage Company performance, Norman Rockwell Museum and Monument Mountain hike.
