Mandarin Oriental, Singapore

The hotel boasts an excellent location and a great pool. I had communicated a week or two in advance, requesting a high-floor room and mentioning our anniversary. However, upon arrival, there was no room available. We had to wait until 4:30 PM in the hot Singaporean weather before being informed that a room was ready. This cut down our total 21-hour stay by 1.5 hours. We were originally assigned a room on the 20th floor, but due to a previous guest smoking in it, we were forced to take a room on the 7th floor. It also seemed like there was a discrepancy in the toiletries and bathrobes; other rooms had Diptyque products, but ours didn't. The dinner buffet was fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh ingredients. However, breakfast was chaotic. The Indian chef at the egg station seemed to be slacking off – the first time I asked for Eggs Benedict, he said they didn't have it, and the second time, he claimed his shift was over. Miraculously, when the head chef came over, it was suddenly possible to make them. I truly can't believe a luxury hotel wouldn't offer Eggs Benedict... Despite numerous hiccups during check-in, I'm glad that Trip.com customer service and the duty manager were proactive and very helpful in resolving the issues!

Really liked the Oriental Culture Hotel. The service was excellent, and they even offered free parking.

The room was spotless and well-maintained. The design was exceptional, truly evoking an oriental charm that was both elegant and luxurious. It's truly a Mandarin Oriental property, and its unique ambiance is unmatched. The service was equally impressive, with staff appearing precisely when needed without ever being intrusive. The hotel's location is also superb, offering beautiful scenery and great convenience.

Not bad, the location is great, right opposite Marina Bay Sands, and quite close to Merlion Park. It's also convenient to go downstairs for food. The only drawback was that checking out and getting the deposit back took a bit long.

The location and service were both excellent. From my room window, I had a view of Marina Bay Sands and the Ferris wheel. The view from the pool was also great.

As a MO Fan touching down in Singapore, Mandarin Oriental was my first choice. The hotel upheld Mandarin Oriental's consistently high service standards; from pre-arrival communication to the warm and professional check-in, everything made me feel right at home. I also enjoyed the MO Bar, which offers consistent quality and excellent service. Furthermore, the hotel extended birthday wishes across the board, making for a very pleasant and highly recommended stay.

Loved the pool, the views were absolutely stunning, and the location was excellent with convenient transportation. Breakfast was also satisfying.

This was a return visit to the MO in Singapore, where we stayed for our honeymoon a long time ago. The service is still as excellent as ever. Although we had an unpleasant encounter with a front desk staff member who resembled an 'Ah San' (a derogatory term for someone of Indian descent, which I've kept for accuracy but please be aware of its offensive nature), another staff member, Theodore, quickly resolved the issue. I'm very grateful to him. It felt like some rooms haven't been renovated, or perhaps the design is just a bit odd, as the toilet was an older model. However, it was still quite clean. The breakfast selection was good, and the dinner buffet was also nice. My only complaint is that the female server at the cake station had a cold expression throughout; management definitely needs to address this to uphold the brand's reputation.

I originally planned to stay for only a day or two, but I ended up loving it so much that I stayed here for my entire week in Singapore. The staff in every department were incredibly nice. The only minor hiccup was at breakfast when I couldn't quite figure out the queue system, and some people who arrived after me went in first. Miss Saw at the 5th-floor restaurant was particularly wonderful; when I over-ordered, my colleague didn't notice, but she proactively helped me cancel the extra dishes and refunded the cost. The lifeguard at the pool was also very enthusiastic; even when it rained and the loungers were put away, he told me it was fine and I could continue swimming. The housekeeping staff were also very responsible and patient. Even though there are many hotel choices in Singapore, I would still want to stay at the Mandarin Oriental next time. It's rare for me to write such a heartfelt review for a hotel.
