Mandarin Oriental, Singapore

Mandarin Oriental is absolutely amazing! The breakfast was delicious and totally worth it – a must-try! MO Bar is also pretty good.

Traveling with my 80-year-old mother, I expected Mandarin Oriental to be excellent in every aspect, so I booked 4 consecutive nights. However, the housekeeping service was surprisingly terrible. 1. Turndown service was inconsistent. One night, they came to do turndown service after 10 PM when my mother was already asleep. 2. Toiletries were haphazardly stocked. My mother's room never received a comb, while mine did. I didn't expect another room to be missing items. My mother, not wanting to bother anyone, ended up using her fingers to comb her hair for several days! 3. There were several flies in the hotel lobby; I will upload a picture. 4. The most outrageous part was how old and worn out the towels were – worse than budget hotels. They were no longer fluffy and white; instead, they were tattered, hard as iron. One bath towel even looked like a large bath towel torn in half, and I have pictures to prove it. I will not stay here again!

This hotel is a 10-minute walk from the Marina Bay Sands area, or one MRT stop away. The surrounding environment is lovely for a morning stroll. The hotel is very clean, has a balcony, and offers amazing views. Front desk service is also good; the service at big hotels is always top-notch. It's my top choice when visiting Singapore.

Mandarin Oriental Singapore boasts an excellent location right next to the Marina Bay Merlion. The rooms are elegantly luxurious with stunning city skyline views. The butler service is attentive and thoughtful, making the entire stay feel luxurious and comfortable, truly enhancing the vacation experience.

The room was excellent, and the service was impeccable. Breakfast was also fantastic with a great variety.

As seen in the picture, the hotel is beautiful. The service was very warm and friendly. For two adults and one child, they provided an extra bed for us. The bed and pillows were so comfortable that we fell asleep instantly. The hotel breakfast was quite rich and varied, and the staff were all very service-oriented. Check-in was only available after 3 PM, but the hotel is very close to Marina Bay Sands and Merlion Park, both within walking distance. There's also a mall and a night market directly opposite the hotel, making dining very convenient.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and mineral water was promptly replenished in the room every day. The room was also very clean. The outdoor pool was very comfortable. The breakfast didn't have a huge variety but was very authentic. Overall, it was a perfect experience.

Overall, the stay was excellent. The hotel is completely non-smoking, and the bedding and room had no odors whatsoever, which was a huge plus. The room was meticulously cleaned. The housekeeper on our floor was Chinese, which made communication very easy. The soundproofing in the room was good, and it was very quiet at night. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. The TV had Chinese channels, which was a nice touch for Chinese guests. The service was very thoughtful; noticing we drank a lot of water, they proactively replenished extra bottled water for us in the following days. They also noticed we wore glasses and brought us lens cleaning cloths. A large proportion of the staff spoke Chinese, so there were no communication barriers. The breakfast selection wasn't overly extensive but was decent, and most requests were accommodated. I needed to monitor my blood sugar, and after informing the server, they prepared a sugar-free overnight oats option for me the very next day. My only minor complaints are that the hairdryer in the room was a bit heavy and the airflow wasn't very strong; I hope they can replace it with a lighter, more powerful model. The complimentary body lotion was a bit hard to spread and absorbed slowly. Overall, the excellent service added a lot to our experience, and we had a very comfortable stay.

The service was meticulous and patient, and everyone had a smile on their face. During my stay, there were a few issues that needed coordination. A special thanks to Kelly and Jennie for tirelessly communicating and advocating with management on our behalf, which allowed us to fully enjoy our trip. They consistently followed up and perfectly resolved everything! 👍 The check-in experience was fantastic, and I will definitely stay here again!
