Hot tub, pool and sauna were out of service, our television did not work, had to mess with it for a long time until we finally got a remote that worked, the breakfast potatoes were a scary, almost purple color and , of the 4 of us traveling together, 2 of us got sick after breakfast.  While we were working on getting the television to work, we had to move it and the dust behind it was offensive.   We have been going to this location each year for probably 15 years and it has steadily gone down hill.

The room is very cold unless the heat stays on. The thermostat doesn’t appear to work, even when the room is very warm; the heat continues even though set at only 67 degrees.

The room and bathroom was much larger than I expected! Breakfast provided high-protein options that I could eat which I appreciated. The area was very quiet and peaceful!

The front desk staff were all super friendly and helpful. Nothing was dirty, per se, but it feels run down. The furniture, carpeting, paint and everything are all really dated and worn. Walls and doors are scuffed and chipped. It looks clear that the ownership hasn't invested in it - it's overdue for a major renovation. Also be aware it is a little tricky to reach and is sandwiched between the interstate and a busy state highway - not a spot you want to hang out on the patio. Seems like it's just filling a niche of a cheap place to stay before an early appointment at Mayo.

Internet was out when I got there and still was when I went to bed—-so very specifically requested a 6:00 a.m. wake call as I had to be at Mayo by 7:00—no wake call I was late for appt. They will be able to accommodate me but much later in the day. Fit to be tied.
