Ibis Hotel (Kunming Railway Station)

This time in Kunming, my stay at this Ibis was quite pleasant! The room was clean and tidy, hot water came quickly, and the front desk service was excellent. Dining options nearby were convenient, and overall, it offered good value for money. Getting around was easy, and it wasn't too far from the subway. One small suggestion: the room lighting was a bit dim, which was good for sleeping.

The Ibis Kunming Railway Hotel has an excellent location, very close to both the train station and the subway station. You can easily walk to the subway with your luggage. The room was spotless, the bedding was comfortable, and the front desk offered coffee and cocktails. It's a worry-free stay for a transit.

Overall, my stay was excellent. The front desk staff were attentive, warm, and efficient, making the check-in process quick. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh food, including local specialties. The room was clean and well-maintained. The hotel's location is convenient, with easy access to dining and transportation. The service was thoughtful and meticulous, offering great value for money. Highly recommended.

Facilities: Outdated. The room was tiny, probably less than 10 square meters. The bathroom, partitioned with plastic, was less than 2 square meters including the shower area. Hygiene: Very poor. In the public lobby, guests were smoking cigarettes face-to-face with staff while checking in, and the staff completely ignored it. Maybe smoking isn't prohibited in public areas in Kunming? Environment: The environment was truly 'unbeatable.' Less than 10 meters across the street, there was a construction site with a constantly busy tower crane, and right next door was a hospital... The noise was immense, making it impossible to rest. The hotel 'thoughtfully' provided earplugs for everyone. Service: The staff were expressionless. When I approached one with a problem, she actually said, 'The staff are busy, you'll have to wait...'

Facilities: The hotel is a bit old, but all the amenities are complete, just a bit dated. Cleanliness: It's cleaned daily by dedicated staff, very clean and hygienic. Environment: There are many restaurants downstairs, and it's convenient to get a taxi. Service: The front desk staff are quite friendly and helpful; any issues can be addressed promptly.
