Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam

Location is strategic and conveniently connected to the central world , big c , Siam paragon and others within walking distance

Pros Great location above platinum fashion mall. Near Central world. Room is bigger and newer after renovation. Cons The road in front is under heavy construction. Jam quite bad so need to wait a while for grab ot bolt. Shower has glass panel but no door to stop water from flowing out and wet the floor. Basin tap also difficult to control the pressure so water will splash everywhere Bathroom floor is slippery. And in the name of sustainability you need to ask for a floor mat. What has anti-slip floor mat for safety has to do with eco friendly??

Arrived at the hotel at 2pm but there’s only 1 room available for us to check in despite check in time of 2pm. Told us to come back in another hour and the remaining two rooms will be ready. We went for afternoon snacks and came back 4pm to realise that the key was not even prepared at all! Had to wait at the lobby again for 10 mins and said the 3rd room requires additional 15 more mins. At the point of time, i was feeling upset that nobody prepared the keys for us despite checking in at 2pm! We receive a notification letter on the same day of the electrical maintenance of 1.30-3.30am which was very shocking as well as we reach hotel around 11pm+ almost 12am. There was no electricity at all in the room from 1.30-3.30am no aircon, you can’t even dry your hair which caused us so much inconvenience. We would appreciate if we were informed at least 1 day earlier before we left the hotel for our activity.. we left the hotel 10am and they left us the note when the house keeper came in to clean the rooms so we weren’t aware of the maintenance at all:( The only plus point was the location and good housekeeping. It’s my first time encountering bad front desk services as well as the short notice of maintenance.

The service staff is excellent. However, the hardware in the room are old and falling apart despite recent renovations.

I really enjoyed my stay at Novotel. The location is excellent and very convenient, especially for shopping and foods. The staffs were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist us. We had an issue with the bathroom sink, but after we informed the staff, they responded quickly and fixed it for us. I really appreciated their fast and efficient service. Overall, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay and would definitely consider staying here again. One area that could be improved is the privacy of the bathroom window. It is a bit see-through, and you can see the shadow of the person inside the bathroom. It would be better to have more privacy, especially when staying with friends.

The hotel location was superb! So convinient. The room is big, bright and clean. The bed is comfy too. Would definitely stay when revisit.

The hotel was closed to the shopping central area a few minutes walking distance. The breakfast was good and a lot of choices to choose the swimming pool are new renovated also the bed very comfortable. I always stayed in this hotel every time I come to visit Thailand

Staff Alin was very friendly, kind, and helpful. She kindly assisted us with upgrading our room to a family room so we could connect with our friends’ twin room. The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. We really appreciated the excellent service and would definitely recommend staying here!
