SSAW Boutique Hotel Shanghai Bund

Location * Excellent location, within walking distance of The Bund and Nanjing Road (20-30mins) * Nice restaurant next door worth visiting. We used the pharmacy and hairdresser down the road. * There is a convenience store around the corner with a wide range of useful items, including food, drinks, fruit, umbrellas and ponchos. * Entrance does not always allow car to drop off/pick up passengers * Best to select the road to the left of the hotel to order DIDI. Staff & Service * Staff were very helpful and accommodating. * Assisted with ordering food for delivery to room as we don’t have Chinese mobile number to set up *******. * Allowed food deliveries to the restaurant/bar during the evening when food was not served. * When our flight was cancelled, the hotel provided a complimentary late check-out until 2pm. * Helped us to book a six-seater car to the train station for ¥300. * Umbrellas were available to borrow. Food & Drinks * Has restaurant for buffet breakfast, which was very cheap and fair for the price paid. There was a lunch menu with lots of varieties, but we didn’t try them. * Food delivery to the room was convenient. * Free drinks voucher provided upon check in for two free drinks and two half price drink offers. * No food was served in the bar/restaurant during the evening, which was inconvenient when we were stuck indoors because of the typhoon. * The view was excellent from the bar, but we only got a glimpse of it as it was raining really heavy. Laundry * Very convenient laundry room on the 2nd floor. * Washing cycle took around 36 minutes. * Dryer operated in 10-minute increments and dried clothes quickly. * Detergent was automatically included. * Laundry facilities were only available until 10pm. Room * Room was very cold. * Cold air continued blowing even when the air-conditioning settings were switched off - especially above the sofa bed area. * Very spacious room with two double beds and a sofa bed. * Bottles of water available. There is also a microwave and extra sink in the room. Nearby Amenities * Convenience store around the corner with a good selection of snacks, drinks and fresh fruit. * Also sold useful emergency items such as umbrellas and ponchos, although some items were expensive. * Pharmacy and hairdresser within easy walking distance.

Very good hotel, nice location near the bund you can go by foot, if you like to walk.But no so many store around residential aera. Clean, spacious and confortable room. I check out late, 4:30 am in the morning because my flight delayed coz of typhoon in shanghai. There is a deposit to make, half price of you room that will be refund and the end of you stay.

I loved this place, and boutique describes it well. From the moment I set foot in the front door I felt right at home with the friendly welcome. Staff could not do enough to help, and their smiles brightened the day of this weary traveller. This extended to the crew staffing the restaurant and bar on the fourth floor where I enjoyed a few very well priced cocktails while soaking up the city views. My room was comfortable and clean and the bed was dreamy. And talk about location!!! A moments walk from gardens and walking street shopping with a charming little bar next door. The biggest problem I had was deciding what to eat for breakfast which the ample options on offer. I highly recommend

We booked this boutique hotel for 7 days for our stay in Shanghai. It was one of our best decisions ever. The hotel is located near tourist attractions within walking distance. The receptionist, Aurora is very kind and helpful. She also understands English very well. Even the nigh shift receptionist also very helpful. They gave us lots of complimentary. The staff at the Garden Restaurant is also very kind. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and look to stay again in this hotel.

The hotel has a great location—the main shopping street and the waterfront are within walking distance. The metro is within walking distance, which is very important (a two-minute walk). This is especially important because, when returning to the hotel tired in the evening, we could quickly get from the metro to the hotel. I also want to express my sincere gratitude to the reception manager, Suki — she helped us arrange our domestic flight to the Avatar Mountains (we couldn't check in or choose seats). She was a very pleasant and responsible woman! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
