Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park

The Marriott Marquis has been a landmark in Bangkok for many years, a truly massive hotel. We've stayed here multiple times, and this visit was mainly driven by our longing for their breakfast. Honestly, I've never seen such a wide variety of breakfast options at any other hotel, not just in Thailand, but in other countries too! The room felt like it had been recently renovated. Even so, the hotel still retains a charming, vintage feel throughout. Perhaps because it's such a large hotel, the service was just okay – neither outstanding nor bad. Nevertheless, we'll definitely be back.

The room was good, quite spacious and clean. The staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast was very good.

My son works in Southeast Asia, so I was thrilled when he arranged a trip to Thailand for me and my fitness coach. We flew Thai Airways, and I was very impressed with both the in-flight meals and the service ✈️(ˆ◡ˆ✿). Upon arrival, to my surprise, a special vehicle was waiting to take us to immigration. The immigration officer processed my entry in just a few seconds – incredibly efficient! When we got to the hotel, the front desk staff showed great trust in Ctrip customers. My room was 1009, and my fitness coach's room was 1007. Neither room required a security deposit, which I really appreciated 🙏. After settling in, my fitness coach and I headed to the Goji restaurant on the first floor for the buffet. It was a spectacular spread with a huge variety of dishes. When we paid the bill, the staff proactively gave us a 50% discount. I'm not sure if that's an exclusive perk for Ctrip customers or if I just exude an air of nobility... just kidding, of course! On the second morning, after breakfast, we went to the gym on the 9th floor for a workout 💪. A big thank you to Coach Chanchan for accompanying me and ensuring my safety throughout this trip. I also want to thank Ctrip for their incredibly thoughtful and meticulous service, handling everything from departure to arrival. They truly took care of it all.

I stayed at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park during Chinese New Year, and overall, it exceeded my expectations. Here's my honest review: First, the pros: The hotel's decor is incredibly grand and luxurious. The lobby is spacious and bright, with high ceilings that add to the opulent feel. The whole environment is very impressive and perfect for photos. The breakfast selection is truly amazing! From Thai flavors to Chinese, Japanese, and Western options, there are so many stations, and the food is delicious. It definitely sets you up for an energetic day. The service also deserves praise; both the front desk and other staff members were incredibly warm and friendly. You could tell they really tried their best to meet guests' needs, and their attitude was excellent. Some minor drawbacks (objective observations): Since it was the Chinese New Year holiday, there was a huge crowd, which meant queuing for breakfast every morning. This definitely detracted from the experience. Also, due to the high volume of guests, the speed at which food was replenished and dishes were cleared in the restaurant sometimes couldn't keep up. You could see the staff were extremely busy, but the situation still felt a bit chaotic. In summary: The hotel's facilities and service are top-notch, and the staff did their absolute best. I'd suggest the hotel consider optimizing crowd management during peak seasons (e.g., opening more dining areas or extending breakfast hours) to further improve the guest experience. I would definitely consider staying here again!

Cleanliness: Decent, pretty good. The service was excellent and it was very clean. I'll definitely be back. I just hope the prices don't go up too quickly, as it's tough for businesses in every industry right now.

Bugs on the sheets! The ceiling was all cracked! The bathroom ceiling was bulging! This is the worst Marriott I've ever stayed at! I won't even mention the old furniture; the room was clearly a modified standard room, and the TV wasn't even centered. Am I supposed to watch TV with my head tilted? I didn't even use the TV, but seriously, couldn't you have done a more thorough renovation?
