Hakkoda Hotel

Nestled on the slopes of Hakkoda Mountain, this hotel offered a peaceful and quiet retreat. The facilities were excellent, and the French multi-course dinner, in particular, was outstanding. The onsen (hot spring) facilities were also fantastic, making it a wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating trip. I'm already looking forward to returning with my family.

Classic Japanese inns, especially Japanese hot spring inns, offer excellent service, superb food, and a secluded location, making them perfect for relaxation and leisure. They are also an excellent spot for snow viewing, and the surrounding tranquility is quite unique. Taking a walk around the inn in the winter evening, you'll feel a sense of serene stillness, as if the surroundings are deserted.

It is quiet, cool, and a great place to heal in the woods. It is the best for those going to relax... I went there to rest, so I gave it the highest score. The facilities are 4-star, but in my heart, I want to give it 5 stars or higher.

This was my first time staying here. 34 years ago, I drove alone from Morioka, passing through the Oirase Gorge and visiting places like Hiba Senninburo (Cypress Bath for 1000 People), Jigoku Numa (Hell Swamp), and Manju Fukashi (a traditional Japanese manju dumpling). However, that day I was staying in Aomori. This time, my husband and I booked the Hakkoda Hotel for a relaxing stay. It's an old, historic hotel, so it does feel a bit dated, but it's clean everywhere. The staff were impeccable. The amenities are plentiful, and the thoughtfulness is evident everywhere, from the soft laundry bags and toothbrushes. Access to nearby areas is also easy with the shuttle bus, so it's not a hassle. The quiet environment was relaxing. I was surprised to see the first snow this time! But it was a great memory. I'm definitely planning to return next year, and plan a multi-night stay.

Unparalleled beauty, snow outside the window, warm as spring inside. The service is like a spring breeze, and the artistic conception is profound. Very good experience, I will choose here next time I come to Aomori

The hotel was in the middle of heavy snow at Hakkosan, so I didn't expect much. Although the service staff don't speak English very well, they are very hardworking. Both dinner and breakfast were good, especially dinner.

Breakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside.
