Doudou Pyramids View Hotel

The room was very spacious, and we had a fantastic view of the pyramids right from our window. The breakfast restaurant also offered close-up views of two pyramids! The location was truly excellent!!! What really stood out were the guys at the front desk; they were all incredibly nice and provided excellent service. One of them spoke absolutely amazing Chinese, allowing for seamless communication. He helped us exchange Egyptian pounds, called the delivery driver for us to sort out a food order issue, and when we asked for one bottle of water, he gave us four! Breakfast was very generous, and there were even Chinese labels in the room, which was a really nice touch!! This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to take photos and write a review. The guy who spoke Chinese actually taught himself!!! Their sincerity and effort to better serve Chinese guests is truly impressive and amazing!!!

I originally booked this hotel for a layover. Since Doudou's team arranged my itinerary, I trusted their hotel recommendation. Turns out, Doudou's seats (referring to the view from the hotel, Fig. 1 & 2) were much better than the seats at the neighboring Mina Palace (Fig. 3). Instantly felt that Doudou's place offered incredible value for money!

Great location, and more importantly, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the trip even more enjoyable. I'd recommend it to friends and hope to visit again. - Jesse

The guy who checked us in was super enthusiastic and told us we got the room with the best view! That really got us excited (but even if you don't get that room, don't worry, the breakfast area has the same great view). The room was quite spacious, and we could see the two biggest pyramids right from our balcony, which we were really happy with. There might not be many restaurants around, or maybe we just went out too late; we ended up finding a dinner spot after browsing the convenience store at a gas station. The elevator here is a bit old-fashioned, so pay attention to the safety notices posted inside when you're using it.

The hotel is conveniently located on the fifth floor with elevator access, just a stone's throw from the pyramids. You can see the pyramids directly from the window! The staff speak Chinese, which made communication easy, and they were all very kind and even helped us order food. Because our flight was late, we checked out half a day early and spent the rest of the day at the front desk. The owner didn't say a word about it, which was very understanding! They're very thoughtful and will tell you where to find expensive and cheap food, and where to exchange local currency. Overall, a great experience!

For our last stop in Egypt, we planned to visit the Pyramid area, so we chose Doudou, a hotel highly recommended by Chinese travelers. The hotel's location is convenient, not far from both the South Gate and the New Gate of the pyramids, and even closer to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Taxis are readily available. However, getting to Old or New Cairo would be quite a distance, so consider your itinerary when choosing. The hotel is located on a main road, with the reception and rooms on the 5th floor, easily found with clear signage. In the evenings, there might be some noise from car horns and motorcycles, so bringing earplugs could be a good idea. The room was clean and tidy, much better than I expected. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, so no worries about water splashing everywhere. The bedding wasn't pilling (a rare find among the hotels I stayed at in Egypt!), and the fridge worked exceptionally well! The view from the window was absolutely perfect, with the two 4,500-year-old pyramids seemingly within reach. I felt the view was even better than from the Mena House across the way! This room type also comes with a balcony, offering an unobstructed panorama. There are many souvenir shops nearby, and plenty of tour groups frequent the area. However, dining options are a bit limited, with a few cafes available. Downstairs, there's a small shop and a gas station (with a convenience store), making it quite suitable for those traveling by car.
