Overall a fantastic Ryokan experience! Great friendly staff who were kind and helpful! Very clean. Not many options for lunch / dinner if you don’t pre book. Nearest shops/ restaurants are 20 min walk away. We paid extra for the hot spring and it was well worth it! Just gorgeous views.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The hotel feels grand and worth the price. Room was spacious and comfortable. The onsen was amazing with multiple options such as a sauna room, an outside jacuzzi style onsen and the main inside onsen. The food provided (breakfast and dinner) was a traditional Japanese style multi course meal. Highly recommended! Room also had a lovely view of Lake Biwa and a comfortable outside bath.

very old and jaded hotel rooms smell musky n mouldy. unhelpful staff when we asked for recommendation of restaurants in the town- told us to eat in the hotel instead. we managed to get to the nearby town centre and explored

Gosh, where do I even begin? This stay was frankly perfect. The view was amazing, the open-air private bath was amazing, the service was amazing, the food provided was amazing. There’s even a shuttle bus from the nearby station. I loved it. My friends loved it. The staff even ran across the whole lobby lounge from the check-in counter, and did a full dive into the souvenir store counter for us. Most memorable icecream buying experience.

Nice place and good service. Delicious dinner and breakfast.
