Beyond Kata

Beyond disappointed. Wrong room, and complete lack of care. I paid for a seaview room but was not given one. Instead, I was incorrectly placed in a ground-floor room with no sea view and zero privacy. Anyone could easily see into the room, forcing me to keep the curtains closed at all times. When I raised this with the front desk, the staff were belligerent and dismissive. Their excuses included that the seaview rooms were sold out (then why sell them?) and that because I booked three weeks in advance, I somehow ended up with the worst room. Rather than offering solutions, staff appeared entirely indifferent to my concerns, which was extremely disappointing. I find it misleading and dishonest that the hotel advertised and sold a seaview room but failed to provide one. I reasonably expected a pro-rata refund to reflect the inferior room I was given. After escalating the issue to the manager, I was forced to wait three nights in the substandard room before finally being moved to the room I had paid for. During this time, I was not offered any form of compensation — not even a meal, drink, or voucher — to acknowledge the inconvenience. While Trip.com kindly offered a $100 voucher to recognise the error, the hotel’s attitude throughout was difficult and arrogant. Having to repeatedly advocate for the room I had already paid for placed unnecessary stress on my holiday and ultimately spoiled the entire experience. This has been the worst hotel stay of my life. There are many far better hotels offering honest room descriptions and genuinely good service for a fraction of the cost. Avoid Beyond Kata.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay very much! We didn’t have to go far for food, massage and a dip in the sea, everything’s just round the corner! The seaview room was perfect, it is spacious and clean and we have such a fantastic view, even watched the live band performance at night. Definitely will be staying at Beyond hotel again when we’re back.

We had an amazing Stay. The staff was so nice and polite and they even gave us a cake to celebrate our honeymoon.

Great location, friendly staff, and nice Thai atmosphere. Rooms are well cleaned. Wonderful place to have morning breakfast by the pool and beach.

This hotel is super convenient to stay at, it has access to Kata beach! It’s close to very nice restaurants! The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are very helpful! We thought we had lost our room key (later found it) and they immediately gave us a new one! The breakfast is really nice! And the pool is lovely too, you can watch some lovely sunsets by the pool too! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
