Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing Beijing

The only thing I wasn't happy with was that after requesting 'do not disturb' for the room, they still called the room phone, and when no one answered, they then called my personal phone. I have to say, they were very responsible, but I was sleeping in the room!

Huge thanks to the hotel staff for their warm welcome, which made my trip to Beijing truly memorable. The hotel's location is fantastic, making it incredibly convenient to visit the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast spread was excellent. Special thanks again to the front desk staff and the hotel manager! ^_^

Adele and Clody provided excellent service. The hotel's location is superb, making it convenient for dining and shopping. The room itself was clean, offered a wide view, and was quiet. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

This is the second Mandarin Oriental property I've stayed at by myself this year. The view of the Forbidden City from the Mandarin room is even more breathtaking in person than in photos or videos. The room was almost flawless, except for a slight odor from the bathroom. The service provided immense emotional value, with many delightful surprises. On my first day, several staff members already knew my surname, and my deliveries were brought directly to my room by staff. The soft drinks in the minibar were unlimited, and I also received a complimentary bottle of champagne and welcome fruits. During turn-down service in the evening, I was given a sleep spray, and the bath salts were different scents on both nights. Breakfast was a buffet combined with a la carte options, and every staff member provided excellent service. I had a meal at the Chinese restaurant, but unfortunately didn't get to try the steakhouse. The bar staff were also very enthusiastic and gave me a tour of several of the private 'yurt' rooms. Before checking out, Cassie and Mavvin at the front desk not only applied the deductions for my stay but also gave me a small gift. The spa was also good, though the pool was a bit on the small side.

The hotel stay was very comfortable. The terrace offers a view of the Forbidden City, and the service was excellent. Many thanks to Peter, Cassie, and Adele for their hospitality. I'll definitely recommend it to friends if they get the chance!

Returning to the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing, the experience was, as always, excellent. The hotel's location right on Wangfujing Street makes getting around incredibly convenient. During check-in, the front desk staff were warm and professional. They patiently answered all my questions and even thoughtfully upgraded my room, which was a delightful surprise as soon as I walked in. The room's decor was elegant and refined, with luxury evident in every detail. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the amenities were from Diptyque, a brand I really like, which was reassuring to use. Breakfast was at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, Zǐ Shàn; the selection was rich, the presentation exquisite, and every dish was prepared with care. I'd especially like to mention Lina from the front office, whose WeChat I'd added during a previous stay. When she saw I was back, she was very attentive to my needs, proactively asking about my turndown service preferences, and even thoughtfully arranged for a small gift to be delivered to my room.
