First time visit Rio De Janeiro Brazil. Was thrilled to see the blue sky upon arrival. Road was blocked with enhanced security because of Shakira - Todo Mundo No Rio. The hotel staffs were very helpful and approached us immediately with the luggages and deposited at the storage area upon our arrival. The staffs were well trained and organised with good services. Excellent location to Copacabana Beach with towels and umbrella provided. The room with a view with vibrant energy at Copacabana beach. The weather was rainy and cloudy the following day but could still spot quite a number of people running on the street. Love it!

Staying at this hotel for about two days, it offered great value for money. My room had views of both the beach and the local hillside houses from two sides, which was a nice experience. People are nice, but hotel is too old and the maintanace is bad. the first day we arrive our room, it smells so bad, hotel employee got us another room, but there is leakage. while checking in, we waited so long and I cannot believe a 5 stars hotel, guests need to do precheck in online ourselves. With this price and how this hotel shows itself, this is quite bad experience. overall, 5 stars for the employees, max 1 star for the facilities and maintanance.

Very close to Kapakapa Beach, you can see it from the room window. The front desk service was excellent; they even helped me with change when I didn't have any. A very pleasant experience overall.
