Chongqing Marriott Hotel

The location is super convenient, really close to the subway station. The room was spotless and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and check-in was quick. Breakfast had a great variety and tasted good too. Overall, it's excellent value for money.

Marriott is considered a long-standing 5-star hotel, but in some aspects, its management doesn't even compare to Vienna or Hanting hotels. Firstly, they use an AI voice assistant for customer service. I called twice in the morning to request two clean towels for my room, but they never arrived, even by check-out. Secondly, in all my stays at five-star hotels, this is the first time I've seen children allowed to play with water guns in the indoor pool. It significantly disturbed other guests who were trying to exercise. The staff just watched without intervening, though they were very proactive in trying to sell memberships. Such management is truly astounding. The only redeeming quality was the nice night view from the top floor.

The hotel looked very high-end, but there were actually hygiene issues. There was a huge cockroach crawling around the room. For such an expensive hotel, there isn't even a self-service laundry room. In this hot weather, our family's clothes wouldn't dry after washing. The hotel's laundry service was expensive and slow. How can you use their laundry service if you're leaving the next day? The facilities were also quite old.

Great location and good value for money. As a Marriott, the hardware and software are both guaranteed. The view is also nice. The only downside is that the gym is a bit old.

Although the hotel is a bit dated, the basic facilities are well-maintained, and the service was excellent. They even upgraded me to a river-view room, and the rooftop offers a fantastic panoramic view of the city at night! My only complaint is the hairdryer – it's incredibly old, like something from the 80s. You have to constantly hold the button down to get air, and it's so hot it almost burns your scalp. I called reception, and they said there were no other hairdryers available to swap it out. Seriously, how can a hotel still have a hairdryer like this in this day and age? After blow-drying my hair, I was sweating all over again. Don't they think about updating these kinds of amenities?

Had a small issue on the first day, but the manager, Crystal, handled it well. Overall, it was a good stay. Their slippers are even better than Conrad's! Watching TV was also very comfortable.

Amazing window views and great value for money! Although the hotel is a bit older, it's very well-maintained. My only minor complaint is the lack of trash cans. The service was good, and check-out was a breeze.
