Tabist Abashiri Central Hotel

The staff were all excellent. Due to heavy snow on the roads, dragging luggage 800 meters from the JR station was a real struggle. The front desk was so helpful; they booked a taxi for us early in the morning and even packed breakfast for us to take on the go. It felt incredibly warm and thoughtful. The cleanliness was quite good, though the facilities are a bit old, and the value for money isn't quite as good as some other hotels.

Extremely satisfied with the room and service. Highly recommend!

The hotel has an antique charm. The suites are fantastic, but the standard rooms are just okay.

1. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Abashiri Station, but considering the nearby restaurants, supermarket, and ice floe boats, it's a great location. 2. The bathroom was clean and nice. They even provided bath salts. 3. The interior was also clean and nice. 4. I understand that tatami mats are difficult to clean, but there's quite a bit of dust between the mats. It would be helpful if you could use a vacuum cleaner with a narrow opening and pay close attention to that area. I was worried that bugs might creep in if I was not careful. 5. It felt like I was experiencing a Japanese-style room, which was nice. Thanks to the great hotel, I had a wonderful trip to Abashiri.

I felt that the way I was treated was slightly different from how the adults around me treated me, perhaps because I'm a student. I felt like I was being put on the back burner. At night, when I was going to sleep, there were mirrors everywhere, which bothered me.

The room is large enough to accommodate two suitcases. One bed had soft pillows and the other had seed hard pillows. The room is very close to Asahikawa Bus Terminal. But when we went there, we got off the wrong train at the previous station, Asahikawa Train Station, so we had to walk in the snow for more than ten minutes dragging our heavy luggage. It was very tiring. There is a larger 711 near the hotel. A 10-minute walk will take you to the shopping street, where you can find yakiniku and ramen shops, warehouse-style supermarkets, second-hand shops, electronic digital stores, and capsule toy shops. You can contact the front desk to make an appointment for a taxi. Although taxis are expensive in Japan, if you don't know about public transportation, it is still very convenient to take a taxi to go ice fishing or icebreaking.
