Kyoto Granbell Hotel

The mooring of the entry and lobby is beautiful. Very clean rooms, buffet breakfast was delicious and great variety. Only thing I don’t like was the layout of the bed, too difficult to get out from. Location is fantastic, walking distance, about 7 minutes to Pontocho alley, 10 minutes department store and Gino station walking distance and buses also close. The markets are about 12 minutes walk as well

If I could rate this place 0/5, I would. It baffles me that this hotel placed their more expensive room type down in the basement right beside the public bath area. Not to mention that the bath closes at 1am and the cleaning begins after that. All the activities happening upstairs at Level 1 reception and kitchen can be heard in the room throughout the night. If you value your sleep, my advice is to think twice before booking because you might end up sleeping in the basement. Also see the photos attached for the current state of the room with the bed frame peeling off and staining the bedsheets and pillow.

It was so near to the train station and bus station, everywhere was so accessible within walking distance.

All the team was great the room was ok. Thank you for a nice stay in your hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at the Kyoto Grandbell Hotel. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful — they truly went above and beyond. We needed to send our luggage to Tokyo, and they handled everything smoothly at the front desk; we paid directly at the hotel and our bags arrived safely to Tokio. Highly recommend this service! The hotel itself is beautiful, with a stylish and modern interior. The room was compact (as expected in Japan), but featured a huge, comfortable bed and a stunning full-wall window with a lovely view. Breakfast was good — a great variety of both Japanese and Western dishes, all very delicious. There's also a coin laundry and a nice bar on-site. The location is perfect, close to bus stops and within walking distance of major sights. Considering everything, the price was very reasonable — around $70 per night. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

Nice location, near temple food any public transport.

Clean hotel, good location, nice staff. Rooms were tiny though, but not the end of the world.
