Villa Scorzi - Relais de Charme

An absolutely lovely place, with a delicious breakfast and incredibly kind staff. Mrs. Sonia is especially delightful and full of charm. We would definitely come back soon.

The staff were top notch, very educated about the property and the surrounding areas. The room was incredible, very sound proof, and breakfast was deliscious with local products. Secure parking, great unheated pool. Highly recommend.

Our stay at this beautiful property was truly delightful. The room was spacious and full of character, offering stunning views that made waking up to birdsong each morning feel like a dream. The surrounding gardens are immaculately maintained, creating a peaceful oasis, and the pool area was a wonderful spot to unwind. We also appreciated the generous breakfasts, served in a choice of charming indoor spaces, which added variety and enjoyment to our mornings. There is much to love about this place, and with a few thoughtful improvements, it could become truly exceptional. While we respect the historic nature of the building, the bathroom would benefit from some modern updates particularly the water system, as waiting 15 minutes for warm water each time was a bit frustrating. Additionally, although we stayed for nine nights, we experienced very limited interaction with the staff. A little warmth or effort to connect with guests would have elevated our experience, especially given the premium price point, which is on par with a five-star hotel. Small touches such as complimentary bottled water in the room and a coffee machine would also go a long way in enhancing comfort and making guests feel valued. In spite of these points, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and see great potential for this already beautiful property to become truly exceptional with just a few refinements.

No bar or lounge facilities. Poor quality and very limited snacks available by the pool only available from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. Breakfast selection average. The mattress in our bedroom was so bouncy you felt every move from yr partner. We requested to change rooms or have a camping bed made up in our room, we were offered a change of room but the only room available was another double, although the hotel seemed empty! No camping bed was available either so me and my husband endured another restless sleepless night. Avoid choosing rooms with bedrooms above as the ceilings are tiled and you will be woken by footsteps above. Lovely building and beautiful gardens are the only positive.

This is the type of resort you go to Tuscany for. Great history and great staff. It makes you feel like you have stepped back in time.

Fantastiske rom, basseng, service og tomt/bygg! Nydelig estate med flott opparbeidet fellesarealer og basseng. Rolig og behagelig. Flotte rom. God frokost. Ikke mye annet å finne på i området, men absolutt et nydelig sted for avslapning noen få dager. Ikke fortau i området og må gå litt til spisesteder.

Fantastic stay here for 5 nights. Found the accommodation easy to find. Whatsasp was sent a few hours before check in at 3pm. Recommended to have dinner at restuarnt La locanda villamorosa(1.5km in next town)which we did. Fantastic! Our room had terrace with hot tub and inlaws stated in another of the suites. Beautifully presented and lovely and cool with plenty windows/shutters and air con.Two bathrooms and lovely sitting area inside as well as a really comfy bed.Pool was easily accessed.Lovely towels provided for the pool. Must cover up to and from room.Breakfast each morning was a delight.Please thank both ladies who served perfect cappuccinos to us (and English breakfast tea!)Felt we were very lucky to have our own room each morning! Felt very luxurious. Very polite and attentive to us and all other guests.Option for lunch was reasonably priced. Must order at breakfast. Surrounding area and town of Calci had enough facilities to give a good choice of shopping,dinner,carry out food,pizza and ice cream. Worth hiring a car to explore local areas. We visited Lucca,Siena,Pisa. Will definitely try to return again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A beautiful 3 night stay in Calci. Villa Scorzi is a 20 minute drive from Pisa Airport, so was ideal distance to Pisa and the airport. We were able to catch a taxi by Pisa train station, after arriving in Pisa and wanting to explore before we head to the villa. The villa is very picturesque. Beautiful gardens, scenery and classic decoration. Tip: ask for a key to access Calci via the side/rear of the villa as this cuts out a ten minute walk and avoids walking on the road. Staff in general were helpful and ordered us a taxi to the airport on our departure. We stayed in a room overlooking the pool. The view was genuinely breathtaking. This appeared to be one of the cheaper suites, however in my opinion the view was unmatched (not sure all the rooms had this view). The breakfast was continental and tasty: croissants, pastries, coffee on request, juices, granola and options for ham platter, omelettes and toast at a small extra cost. The villa owners give you freedom to walk around the villa and the grounds as many of the doors remain unlocked. It is like having your own Tuscan stately home for a few days! The villa is also very clean. The bin was emptied daily and the bed was made daily. It would have been nice to have fresh towels, say every 2 days, but wasn’t a major deal. We were informed brunch was available from 12-3 pm daily - we didn’t try this but seemed like a nice option. Check in to the hotel is from 15:00. We did arrive earlier but were informed 15:00 is the earliest we could check in. However we were able to store our bags while we had a look around Calci. It is a 15 minute walk into Calci centre (note sometimes Google maps doesn’t take you the quickest route). We often went to the Coop for daily essentials. A must, is visiting Tarallucci e vino, which is a 10 minute walk from the villa. The guy here is very friendly, serving Tuscan wine for very reasonable prices. We also went for a wine tour at Fattoria San Vito, for €28 each. You got a lot for this price: 6 wines, food and a tour of the vineyard (olive trees included). Margot in Trattoria was a lovely restaurant for lunch in Calci too. All in all, a beautiful holiday. We’ll be back!

The owners of this premises and the adjacent associated property exhibit poor business practices and should be avoided at all costs. Don't trust your holiday or money to them, as they seem happy to cancel your months longstanding booking less than 24 hours in advance claiming to be overbooked
