Our trip to Japan included a long-awaited stay in Shirakawa-go. To truly relax, we decided to spend a night there. The inn was conveniently located near the bus station and was a traditional Japanese style. It included breakfast and dinner, which was a real blessing as it's hard to find places to eat after dark. The meals were exquisitely Japanese, as expected, and enjoying them by the window facing the big river was incredibly pleasant. After dinner, we went for a hot spring bath, then had a wonderful night's sleep, followed by another delicious breakfast! A truly delightful trip!

😌 Super friendly! I even got to try some local specialty food. Looking at the snow-capped scenery while soaking in the hot spring! So refreshing! After the hot spring, you can even grab a bottle of milk! Perfect! 😃 No need to worry about communication, as there are foreign staff who can speak English!

The room was great, and the 'one night, two meals' package was fantastic. We were lucky to see both clear blue skies and heavy snowfall, which made our stay truly wonderful.

A small ryokan right next to bus station and entrance of Shirakawago. It is the best location to stay there. However, it is not gussho house but it is a full ryokan with onsen and meals. I stayed in a room with bed, not tatami floor. All rooms are without toilet and bathroom. Drinking water fountain is provided. Two coffee vouchers per day were provided, but not served during or after meal. It is available at front desk. Meals were great. This place is on high price as its location. We pay for convenience and location. There is a small supermarket nearby too but it is close early. They also sell used (but washed and clean) yukata too. Onsen is good, available both indoor and outdoor, as well as sauna.

Everything was nice; we loved the dinner and breakfast. Except there was no toilet in the room, and there was no lift in this hotel, so we had to carry the luggage to the second floor.

Breakfast and dinner looked great, but weren't particularly delicious. The location is super convenient, right next to the bus stop. The room felt like a standard hotel room.

Very hospitable. My shoes were all wet due to the heavy rain, and the staff helped me dry them with a shoe dryer. Very touching.
