Bagan Thande Hotel, Old Bagan

Everything was great. The room was spacious and clean, breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly and positive. On the downside, the electric bike rental at the hotel was quite expensive: 40 kyats for a full day, from sunrise to sunset.

We stayed for three days in March, and this hotel is a gem! Stunning river views, beautifully maintained grounds with an abundance of flowers and spreading trees, a large pool, and very friendly staff. They may not speak much English, but they always try to help in any way they can. The hotel isn't new, more like a remnant of former luxury, but that only adds to its charm. There were very few people there, so we were able to relax after the bustling city life.

The environment is excellent, the dining area has a beautiful view overlooking the Myanmar River, and the staff will proactively assist with your luggage. Electric scooters are available for rent at the front desk, making it convenient to get around. However, some of the facilities are a bit old.

The riverside rooms are located in the basement of the hotel courtyard, which doesn't feel right, and they're even more expensive than the courtyard rooms. I wouldn't recommend the river view rooms.

Good location

For solo travelers, the location is relatively remote. Breakfast was at the Irrawaddy River. It felt great. Sometimes crows eat by force. The hotel staff were very nice. I will stay there again next time.
