What an amazing and memorable stay. We were welcomed by Arnold and Leo upon our arrival, who were quick to take care of our bags, park our car and take us on a tour of the property. We had a wonderful junior suite with a peaceful view looking at the back of the property and into the forest. The room was very large and lovely, and the decoration was beautiful , added to the authenticity, considering the château was built in the 18th century. Bed was very comfortable as well. The bathroom is perfect, great shower and large tub. It had all of the supplies that we needed. We enjoyed riding the bikes around the property and through the forest. Highlight was feeding the two resident donkeys. Breakfast was delicious. Quite a variety of fresh pastries, fruit, yogurt, House made granola , cheeses, smoked salmon, eggs, sausage, potatoes. They even had some gluten-free granola and pastries. There is also looseleaf tea available all day in the lobby area, as well as filtered water. The service for breakfast was wonderful. All of the staff is very polite and very attentive. The property takes you back in time. It is quite magical to walk around it end to experience the view of it as you drive in especially at night. It’s a quick drive to the town of Bayeux, and quite convenient to visit the D-Day sites. Highly recommend it. And thank you so much to Leo and Arnold and the breakfast staff for making this such a wonderful experience.
