We had room 14 which was lovely but a little dark & was in a building separate to the Chateau, the receptionist on duty was very helpful & kindly changed the foam pillows to feather ones, the main restaurant is closed on a Sunday & Monday so we had to eat in the bar/bistro with a limited menu & disappointing food. Breakfast stops at 10.30am , we turned up at 10.00 to find most things had gone, I ordered poached eggs & was told that would be €9 extra, I wanted croissant s to go with the eggs as there were none left on the buffet, the waitress produced one tiny one on a plate, 15 minutes later my poached eggs arrived cold, no-one let the waitress know they were ready, I couldn’t eat them, my husband ‘& I agree we won’t go back.

What an amazing and memorable stay. We were welcomed by Arnold and Leo upon our arrival, who were quick to take care of our bags, park our car and take us on a tour of the property. We had a wonderful junior suite with a peaceful view looking at the back of the property and into the forest. The room was very large and lovely, and the decoration was beautiful , added to the authenticity, considering the château was built in the 18th century. Bed was very comfortable as well. The bathroom is perfect, great shower and large tub. It had all of the supplies that we needed. We enjoyed riding the bikes around the property and through the forest. Highlight was feeding the two resident donkeys. Breakfast was delicious. Quite a variety of fresh pastries, fruit, yogurt, House made granola , cheeses, smoked salmon, eggs, sausage, potatoes. They even had some gluten-free granola and pastries. There is also looseleaf tea available all day in the lobby area, as well as filtered water. The service for breakfast was wonderful. All of the staff is very polite and very attentive. The property takes you back in time. It is quite magical to walk around it end to experience the view of it as you drive in especially at night. It’s a quick drive to the town of Bayeux, and quite convenient to visit the D-Day sites. Highly recommend it. And thank you so much to Leo and Arnold and the breakfast staff for making this such a wonderful experience.

This was our second stay at Chateau d’Audrieu and we will definitely be back. We were visiting with our teenage sons and had an incredible experience as a family. The breakfasts at Le Seran and dinner at 1715 were phenomenal. We were so well taken care of. The grounds are pristine and calming and the chateau is in a great location for exploring the area. The perfect retreat!

We (wife and I with our 3 children) recently stayed at Chateau d'Audrieu for one night en-route to Cherbourg after a holiday in France. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The staff are all amazingly helpful and polite. Little touches like cuddly toy donkeys for the kids went down very well. If you want modern, shiny bling-bling then don't go but if you want a wonderful old Chateau with excellent service in a beautiful location then d'Audrieu is a brilliant choice. We stayed in another supposedly 5* hotel for a few nights before here and it didn't compare. Chateau d'Audrieu just do everything right and it waqs the perfect place to finsh a holiday. We wish we'd spent more time here and will definitely go back.

Chef Samuel Gaspar is a star on the rise. It won’t be long before Le Seran is recognized by Michelin. He also presides over a diverse menu in the bistro that offers simpler popular options. As we stayed for over a week, Chef Gaspar offered to make us bespoke dinners, which we planned with him in advance. His dinners were amazing, a welcome finale to long days out enjoying Normandy. The dining rooms and bar are tranquil, comfortable and well-spaced for privacy. Service throughout the hotel was attentive, responsive, warm and friendly with excellent English spoken by everyone. We had two suites that were spacious and well-equipped and accessorized. Perhaps the lighting could be improved and the coaches updated. The location is very convenient for the Normandy beaches, Bayeux and Caen. It’s a bit further to Mont St Michel and Honfleur. It’s best to stop in Rouen on the drive from Paris to see the Cathedral. Our only disappointment was the gym, which is an area that needs attention. As we were staying for over a week, we found a Planet Fitness about 15 minutes drive that was great for those who are serious about exercising. We highly recommend Chateau d’Audrieu as your home-away-from-home for your Normandy visit. We

We spent three incredible days at Château d’Audrieu with close friends, and honestly, it was everything we hoped for and more. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the whole place has this quiet elegance that makes you feel instantly at ease. Our rooms were beautiful, and the bedding? So comfortable we didn’t want to get up in the morning. The food was a highlight. Chef Samuel Gasper is amazing—his dishes were creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We had dinner at Le Séran Restaurant and Le 1715 Chill & Eat, and both were fantastic in their own way. It was the kind of trip that leaves you feeling refreshed and grateful. We’re already talking about going back.

Beautiful Chateau, wonderful food in both restaurants and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. It really was a perfect stay and a great base for visiting the main WW2 sites.

I’ve stayed here twice. The first time was during a group trip. The second I entered the property I knew I would return with my wife for our 20th wedding anniversary. We did, and could not have been more pleased. There’s something almost intangible about the place. There’s a familiarity about it that makes me feel at home across the globe. The beauty, history, and peacefulness is matchless. The staff is exemplary. We wish we could have stayed an entire month.
