Hôtel Royal

I chose this hotel for several specific reasons. - I'm a LHW member and this property was already on my radar. - It's very close to home, which made it ideal for a short stay without the fatigue of a long journey. - The hotel seemed to offer exactly what I was looking for: a calming lake view, a high-end spa, a quiet surrounding, several essential services for me (room service, shuttle,...). - There is a small town, which can be reached on foot, with a few shops and a lakeside promenade. The arrival was smooth, because the hotel call me a day before and I could ask for a shuttle from the boat landing stage. I wouldn't recommend to reach the hotel on foot on your own, as it's quite steep and the pavement is narrow and uneven. Check-in was efficient, the welcome was warm, and I was upgraded to a residence lake view room. Look at the pictures : the room was spacious, the bathroom huge (both bath and shower), the bedding really comfortable with excellent pillows. I appreciated how quiet the room was : there is a double door system which blocks noise from the corridor. I also loved the blackout curtains and the absence of any light pollution (no standby lights from TV). The spa experience was excellent. The facilities are high-end. I especially appreciated the quiet moments in the baths early mornings. In the afternoon there were more guests and some with kids (while it was supposed to be adults-only from 12pm to 4pm). The highlight of my stay was the “Rituel des Soins Célestes" (the day before I had a rain massage of 20min and a full body scrub) which was outstanding. The therapist, Rosanna, was exceptionally gentle, attentive, and professional, and the treatment was deeply relaxing from beginning to end. As for the food, I had Room service each evening and it was good. The breakfast offers a fair variety of options, with a nice selection of breads and a delicious "brioche". But you can also have breakfast in your room at no extra charge. But you would probably miss the perfectly ripe mangoes and the strawberries at the buffet. Service throughout the stay was consistently kind and helpful. I always felt genuinely welcomed and at ease. I would sincerely recommend this hotel and I would gladly return for another restorative stay. I noticed the difference btw how I felt when I arrived and how I felt when I left after three night : objective achieved !

I stayed at this hotel 3 nights in the off season. The hotel is elegant and feels luxurious from the service to the food, rooms, and grounds. The spa is amazing with sauna, steam room, cold plunge, outdoor and indoor hot tubs -even having a special elevator to deliver you there. The town while quiet in the winter, was quant and welcoming. The air feels clean and you can’t help but relax. Would highly recommend this hotel for a quiet winter getaway. Indulge in the spa.

Fabulous hotel and experience. Spent six nights enveloped in the splendour and elegant surroundings. The breakfast is a wonderful experience. We eat in the hotel each evening and the food and service was consistent and very good. All the staff went out of the way to assist guest. Special mention to the valet parking and greeting team who were brilliant as due to the heat we went out in the car most day to enjoy the air con. Anyway, the room which overlooked the lake was a delight, although the air con never hit its target temperature. A real 5 star experience.

From the moment we arrived at the Hotel, we were welcomed by a representative of the Director who was exceptionally kind and attentive. Sophie and Laurent at reception were impeccable, as always, ensuring a smooth and warm check-in. Vincent at the bar made our moments there even more enjoyable, bringing thoughtful touches such as board games for a relaxed evening. Fatima took care of our room with exceptional attention to detail and went above and beyond to make our four-year-old dog feel at home, he has spent every New Year’s Eve at the hotel since he was born, and Fatima’s care ensured he was as comfortable as we were. Our stay this year was seamless and truly rejuvenating, leaving us fully energized to start the year. We appreciated being able to communicate directly with the staff during our stay, their responsiveness and genuine care made a real difference. Special thanks to the Director, Mr. Figueiredo, for creating such a magical environment. The views over Lake Léman are breathtaking, making every moment unforgettable. The Hotel Royal is not just a hotel, it’s a complete experience, and we cannot wait to return.
