I initially thought the room had no windows, but it actually has a window that opens to the hallway. It's like an 'outer window,' but in the corridor where people walk by – almost like a protective layer? Overall, it's very quiet. The duvet is quite thick, so if you're bringing pajamas, don't bring thick ones; you'll get hot easily. The room provides a flashlight and a padded jacket, which is perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset at the nearby Danxia Peak. The hotel dinner was also decent, and the butler service was excellent; all my requests were met. ☺️

We stayed at Huangshan Paiyun Hotel from September 6–7, 2026 with my 71-year-old mother. Taking the Taiping Cableway from the North Gate made the trip very easy, with only about a 5–8 minute walk to the hotel. Other routes can require 1.5–2 hours of walking, so this is definitely the best option if you want to minimize the hike. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautifully located on top of the mountain. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable and everything felt well maintained. I highly recommend booking a mountain-view room. Waking up to the sunrise and mountain scenery was absolutely worth the extra cost. A beautiful and convenient place to stay on Huangshan. Highly recommended.

New hotel, nice looking, and the rooms are clean. Even hotels on the mountain top are stepping up their game now! There's a show at 7:30 with face-changing and shadow puppetry. The shadow puppet performers mimic the voices really well. It's pretty good overall.
