SwaSwara Wellness - A CGH Earth Experience, Gokarna

Wonderful in every way our stay at SwaSwara exceeded our expectation. The property is a genuine oasis. Beautiful, peaceful location. Very well appointed room and garden. All the Staff a total delight. Nothing was too much trouble. The dining was of the highest order, interesting, nutritious, and beautifully served. The pool was fabulous and maintained by a friendly member of staff. Treatments were excellent, thorough and thoughtful. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

An abode in tranquility spread over acres of lush green dense landscape, adjoining the famous OM beach. The cottages have a distinctive design layout having open to sky area between the bedroom and the relaxing plaza/ study, even the shower area is partially peeping at the sky. The sleep quality is excellent. Though dedicated to wellness and related treatments as primary objective, ours was a short relaxing stay sans wellness though we did undergo a naturopathy rejuvenation process of about 100 minutes which definitely lived upto its name. We walked within the premises amongst the greens and drizzle. The choice of cuisines at the restaurant is well spread out and the making of the food focuses on healthy preparation practices like sans oil , fats etc. The general Manager Mr Devdutta was courteous enough to spend sometime with us and explain the local culture and salient features of SwaSwara. The staff at the front desk was prompt in attending to all our requests, whereas the young servers at the restaurant, the boys as well as the girls were polite and swift. All in all an excellent place to be at for total peace and rejuvenation.

This lovely beautiful beach front property is a must must go !! Wonderful staff, equally Wonderful food and ambiance and cleanliness to the best. It's so peaceful you really regret why did I carry my mobile . Enjoy your peace , good place to become health conscious.. suddenly!! U can introspect , meditate ,play ,swim, eat and really forget the world !! OM beach is so beautiful!!

The setting, the ambiance, the staff, and the natural beauty create a serene escape that’s hard to match. Warm, Attentive Staff The staff at SwaSwara are fantastic. From the moment you arrive, they welcome you with warmth and genuine interest, making every interaction feel personal. From the reception team to the management, yogis, waitstaff, chefs, and especially the pool attendant, everyone is so attentive—nothing is ever too much trouble. Time seems to slip away in meaningful conversations with them, and it’s clear they truly care about their guests’ comfort and happiness. Unique Accommodations The villas are wonderfully designed, with a spacious layout and charming open-air aspects. Although I kept my suitcase closed to avoid the occasional insects, the rooms are spotlessly clean, with bedding and towels refreshed regularly. The open-roof shower is a highlight, giving you a refreshing connection with nature, and while little frogs and lizards sometimes stop by, it added a sense of adventure. Each villa also has natural mosquito spray on hand, ***** with spa robes, a cozy super-king bed with quality linens, and a tea/coffee area where you can brew your own blends with fresh leaves from nearby trees. It’s a peaceful setting, and with only 24 villas, the tranquility is deeply appreciated. Thoughtful, Sustainable Design SwaSwara’s commitment to sustainability is evident. They use an innovative water system and practice organic farming, supporting a natural environment that feels integrated with the resort’s philosophy. It’s also meaningful to know that 80% of the staff are locals, which adds a layer of authenticity and community spirit to the experience. Gorgeous Pool & Spa Program The pool is stunning—warm, tranquil, and set against a backdrop of nature. They provide sunbeds, towels, and refreshing water, and you often have the pool to yourself due to the different programs offered, as some guests have restrictions around sun exposure and using the pool. We chose the spa well-being program, which was ideal, as we could be out in the sun and not be restricted in using the pool or going to the beach. Over our 10-night stay, we received six Ayurvedic massages. While not as intense as a deep tissue massage, the massages offered other therapeutic benefits and used aromatic oils that left a lasting impression. Note on Ayurvedic Massage: In Ayurveda, some cultural differences exist in massage practices. It may be helpful if the staff provided a little more context about these customs for guests unfamiliar with the approach, especially around chest massages. Still, I appreciated that they maintained consistency by assigning the same therapist, which felt comforting. Meghana, my therapist, was kind and professional. Our first visit to this resort, although having stayed at two other of the chain’s resorts we had an idea of what to expect. We weren’t disappointed. Cottage C2 was large, well equipped and ideally positioned for watching the local birdlife. We enjoyed several walks – one with the resort’s knowledgeable naturalist – around the grounds and down to the beach. The resort serves excellent food, and proximity to the beach, and long walks to, say, Moon Beach and swimming in the pool or the sea help work up an appetite. Lots of yoga and meditation activities are available should you wish to participate. An easy place to spend a couple of days.
