The Rock is a very nice hotel in Lamai on Koh Samui.
It's located on a busy main road, but it's built into the hillside down to the sea, so you don't hear any of the road noise from the hotel or the beach.
We had a lovely room with a sea view from the small veranda.
It was clean, and the breakfast was delicious. 😊 The hotel grounds are beautifully designed and landscaped, and the pool area with its sea view is especially lovely at any time of day.
It's a bit of a walk to the large Lamai Beach and to Lamai town itself, where you'll find numerous shops and the famous night market, so we rented a scooter near the hotel.
It's not far (by scooter) to Overlap Stone.
We were able to do our laundry at the hotel for free.
The only downside was that the hotel shares the same building as a hostel, which meant that a few people were sitting and talking loudly near our room until late in the evening.
Unfortunately, we heard this in our room.
