The Okura Prestige Bangkok

The Okura Prestige is hailed as the pinnacle of service among hotels in Bangkok. My trip to Bangkok this time was a high-end hotel experience tour. After staying at a series of hotels, I can confidently say that The Okura's service and dining are the absolute best. I'm so glad we chose The Okura to celebrate our anniversary. While other hotels are also five-star, The Okura's service and food quality are a cut above the rest (we switched hotels every day and after trying several, we rated The Okura the highest). The afternoon tea desserts were fantastic, both in presentation and taste. I particularly loved the breakfast at Yamazato; the ingredient quality was consistently excellent. The complimentary handmade matcha cake was delicious, and the card they prepared was beautiful. Thank you to The Okura staff. The pool offers different views and experiences from morning to night, which was absolutely wonderful.

The location of The Okura Prestige Bangkok is unbeatable, and the overall environment is also pleasant. The fruit selection at breakfast is a nice touch, and the infinity pool was once a popular internet-famous spot, though the facilities are a bit dated given it has been open for so many years. All things considered, it's still a very good hotel.

The rooms show some age and could use a renovation. The service was okay, but perhaps my expectations were too high, as it lacked a certain warmth. Breakfast was good, and the location is convenient, with direct access to the BTS, so you don't have to worry about sun or rain.

Second time staying here. The staff's politeness is definitely top-notch. My room was on a higher floor this time, so it was a bit smaller than last time, but everything else was pretty much the same. The only minor issue is that the air conditioning still makes a bit of noise, even on the lowest setting.

There's a direct walkway from Phloen Chit BTS station straight to the office building where The Okura Prestige Bangkok is located, so you don't have to worry about sun or rain. The hotel lobby is on the 24th floor, and the city view from the room is great. For breakfast, you can choose between the Japanese restaurant or the buffet restaurant; the Japanese breakfast is a set menu. I didn't give 5 stars for service. While all the frontline staff actively greeted guests, the lobby managers, unfortunately, did not, which was disappointing.

Everything about this place was excellent. The breakfast menu changed slightly every day, which made my extended stay very enjoyable. The facilities and amenities were top-notch. I especially appreciated that I could use my Japanese charger without any issues. The bar was also great.
