Hon Thom Cable Car - Sun World Hon Thom is a three-rope over-sea sightseeing cable car connecting An Thoi at the southern tip of Phu Quoc Island with Hon Thom. Spanning nearly eight kilometers, it is one of the few long-distance over-sea cable cars in the world. Departing from the Phu Quoc Island side, the cable car passes over several small islands on the sea before finally arriving at Hon Thom, with a one-way journey of about fifteen minutes. The cable car operates on a three-rope system, and its cabins are equipped with large glass windows, allowing passengers to enjoy a 360-degree aerial view of the azure sea below, the scattered pristine islets, and the distant skyline. As the cable car gradually moves away from land and out over the sea, the view transitions from nearshore reefs to the open ocean, and on clear days the layered variations in the color of the water are especially distinct. Suspended between sea and sky, the cable car glides slowly forward, with dotted fishing boats occasionally visible below. The ride itself is a unique aerial sightseeing experience on the way to Hon Thom.
