City Comfort Inn (Guangzhou Shisanxing Shangxiajiuhualinsi Metro Station)

First time staying at a cockroach hotel, and definitely the last! I told the front desk about the roaches half an hour ago, and no one came to deal with it. When I asked for a refund, the front desk pushed it to the manager, and the manager pushed it to some mysterious owner who wouldn't answer the phone for ten minutes. Oh my god, I must have done something terrible to deserve spending a whole night crammed in a room with a roach nest! I was scared to use the toiletries in case roaches had crawled on them, so I threw them all out! The room was so cramped you could barely walk, and there was absolutely no soundproofing – I could hear the creak of the door next door. Even the bottled water was flimsy, like it was made of plastic bags. A hotel costing over 400 yuan, and the service, hygiene, and professionalism were all terrible. It's not even worth ten yuan!!!!! Don't fall into this trap!!!!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. On the way there by taxi, the streets were lined with wholesale shops, and the hotel's facade was quite small. However, once I checked in, I realized it was excellent value for money. The room was a bit small, but it was clean and tidy, and the shower had good water pressure. It's not far from Anqingfang and Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. Public transport, both buses and the subway, is conveniently located right outside. There are also many eateries nearby, like Yin Jia Chang Fen.

The room was clean and well-equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's located right on Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, close to Hualinsi subway station, making it very convenient for getting around.
