SpringHill Suites Rochester Mayo Clinic Area/Saint Marys

My daughter and I stayed at the SpringHill in Rochester for an annual event that takes place at the at the Mayo Civic Center. We have have stayed here the last 3 years now and have yet to be disappointed. The rooms have always been clean, modern, and very spacious. We've enjoyed the breakfast options in the morning. I love that there is parking onsite (yes for $7 a day fee, but its worth it to be able to park on site), parking was a little tricky this time only due to the hotel being so full and many large vehicles being parked right on/just over the line made it a bit tricky to squeeze into the last available spot, but thats hardly the hotels fault (and lucky i have a narrow vehicle). What has put this hotel over the top for me, however, is the wonderful experience I have had with the staff every time we have been to this location. By far the employees at this location have been the most friendly, welcoming staff I have every encountered.

Room was fine and clean. Morning and afternoon front desk were a delight! Parking is awful there, I get it’s limited but they had a sold out hotel. We were told we could park in an additional lot, but then was told we could not. We were informed we would not have to pay for parking-but would have to park several blocks down the road. We were then informed they were giving out 4-5 parking passes per room. The evening staff was not great- ironically they had front row parking. Any time I tried talking to the woman at the front desk the man would interrupt and not let her speak.

It was good. Comfortable and clean. Very close to the hospital which was very helpful. Hallways did stink but other than that over all good.

The rooms were very clean. My bed was comfortable however we were on the ground floor and the noise in the afternoon outside our window of dripping water was unbelievable. The breakfast was very satisfying however, when I asked for what my bill would be the silver haired man on dayshift at the front desk told me I couldn’t get it till my day was over with. I had only booked Wednesday leaving on Saturday. I don’t understand why he couldn’t pull it up for me.

The stay was good continental breakfast was good but the staff was rude and very impersonalable. When i am traveling 8 hours from home to have surgery and see a specialist I certainly don't want to be staying at hotel where the employees are rude and disrespectful and make you feel like an inconvenience.

Pros: affordable, staff willing to help and breakfast Cons: bathroom flooring buckling, no pool towels (asked for some but out), hot tub was warm but not working and stains on the furniture.

Mark the magician at gust services waa excellent!! He really went above amd beyond!

The bathroom floor had water damage, but everything else was great, especially the staff; they are very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was great as well.

Was not the original place I thought we were staying at but were pleasantly surprized. Nice, clean, great staff. Close to the hospital. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.
