DoubleTree by Hilton Beijing Badaling

The hotel is quite large, consistent with the DoubleTree style, and the service is good. However, the pool is too small and the changing rooms are outdated with an unpleasant smell. Everything else is great, making it suitable for family trips.

Great location and very clean. My kids had a lot to do, and the swimming pool was a big hit, though it was a bit crowded. The front desk service was excellent; when my child got a scrape, the staff quickly brought over some Yunnan Baiyao. Many thanks!

Double Scenic Area Tickets (Wild Duck Lake National Wetland Park, Guyaju Ancient Cliff Dwellings): Both attractions are excellent, I really enjoyed them.

The hotel is quite large, and even on weekdays during the summer, there were many guests. To accommodate my parents and me in adjoining rooms, the hotel upgraded us to a family room. It was a bit far, located in Building 3, requiring a walk through the courtyard corridor or a detour from the 6th floor. The room was very spacious, and although it faced north, it wasn't damp. The mountain view to the north was beautiful. Breakfast was plentiful, and lunch and dinner could also be eaten at the hotel. I highly recommend the steamed mackerel dumplings – six huge, delicious dumplings! The hotel's pool isn't very big, and most of the time it's occupied by children taking lessons, so it's not easy to swim laps. It gets a bit less crowded during lunch and dinner hours. The hotel service was excellent; they even gave us homemade large cookies upon check-in and check-out. Thumbs up!

The integration of culture and tourism is excellent, offering a rich experience with hot springs, scenic areas, and a children's playground. Yanqing has been steadily improving after the World Horticultural Expo and the Winter Olympics. With the addition of Hilton, Hyatt, and InterContinental, and the newly built Wanda Plaza, the hardware facilities have significantly upgraded. I've stayed at Yanqing Hilton a few times, and this time, there's still room for improvement. The room had a strong damp smell, and the bedding felt very humid. I had to keep the window open all night to air it out. The windows were also quite dirty. Outside the corridor, there were socks and underwear drying everywhere, which was a bit of an eyesore when coming and going. The welcome cookies weren't offered proactively, and the front desk staff didn't seem to smile. Even though I purchased a package, and am a Gold member, I didn't feel particularly welcomed or receive enthusiastic service. Overall, despite these minor flaws, it's still worth experiencing.

The room itself was spacious and very clean, and the hotel's facilities were comprehensive. The lobby even had some small entertainment options like foosball, billiards, and claw machines. There's also a gym and a swimming pool. However, possibly due to the large number of families with children during the holiday, maintenance of some facilities seemed a bit slow at times, and management couldn't quite keep up. Overall, it's a good accommodation option for a trip to Yanqing.

I must commend Lily at the front desk; her service was professional and friendly, and communication was excellent. My entire stay was very pleasant, and it offers great value for money. Definitely worth a return visit.
