The room was just okay, but the location on the street was convenient for transportation. Check-out was at 10 AM (usually 11 AM), and it happened to be raining that day. I was planning to switch hotels, but the next one wouldn't allow check-in until 3 PM, so I was left with nothing to do but find shelter from the rain. The meals were also very basic. So, comparatively speaking, the value for money was quite poor. However, the hotel service was good, and the staff were enthusiastic and attentive.

A traditional Japanese ryokan with spacious rooms, all featuring tatami mats. The dinner was exquisite, and our beds were made up for us right after we finished eating, which was a lovely touch. The onsen (hot spring) has both indoor and outdoor options, and it was very clean and therapeutic.

Staff are very friendly. One of the staff took me to my room and introduced me to the facilities and rules of the onsen hotel. Though time is always short, I had a great time there.

Very good service from first step into Hotel! The staff are very friendly and explain all the details for our stay. The onsen outdoor is the best. Japanese style food set is amazing! Room also very comfortable, clean and nice as we booked semi-Japanese Western style. We love everything we have had experince here. Kurokawa onsen in winter time is highly recommended.

When we booked this hotel, it was almost the last hotel with vacancies in the Kurokawa Onsen area, but what was surprising was the service quality of its kind and personal butler. Great location to reach the famous spot and shops. Besides the onsen is clean and dedicated. The room is a bit small but good in overall.

Best stay! Kurokawa onsen itself was amazing but this stay made it better. I’m vegan and gluten free. With short notice both dinner and breakfast was arranged just like regular Kaiseki style. They were beautiful and delicious. Owner was kind and helpful. Stuff was wonderful. Hot spring was nice both indoor and outdoor. I was sad to leave knowing probably this was the best stay during our trip. Highly recommended!
