Hilton Tokyo Bay

The hotel's sea view is stunning, and every staff member is warm and professional. A special thank you to them: I had originally booked an extra night, fearing my Tokyo to Hokkaido flight might be canceled due to bad weather. Later, when the weather was fine and I was ready to check out, I suddenly realized I had forgotten to cancel that extra night, and the free cancellation period had already passed. I contacted both Ctrip and the Hilton front desk, and they quickly helped me resolve the issue. I'm very happy and will choose Ctrip for all my future travels; their service is excellent, and they resolve problems swiftly. Also, a big thanks to the Hilton staff for their quick assistance when issues arose.

The room was spacious, but the facilities are indeed old. The carpet had stains, and there were hairs left in the bathroom. The blackout curtain had a hole in it (not my doing, it was already there, hahaha). However, this doesn't affect its great location for Disneyland.

Beyond the beautiful sea view, there's really nothing else to look forward to. Perhaps it's due to high occupancy, but the hotel room was completely bare, and they even required a deposit. There were no complimentary slippers, you had to ask for them. The fridge was empty, so it's no wonder the two Lawson convenience stores inside the hotel were raking it in – they were packed every night. There was no bottled water either; you had to go to a water dispenser to get your own, which was quite odd. The toiletries were large, communal bottles, and the facilities were very basic, comparable to a budget motel. We had to wait a long time for breakfast every morning, and the variety wasn't great, though they did have self-serve ice cream. There's a smoking room on the first floor and a shuttle service to Maihama. Overall, it was a very mediocre experience.

The location is fantastic. Right by the sea, it's a five-minute walk to the subway station, Disneyland, or DisneySea, or a one-minute hotel shuttle ride to the Maihama Disney inner loop line. I booked a sea-view room, but arrived late on the first night and didn't get to see the view. The second day was cloudy and grey, with nothing visible, and the sea looked murky. However, on the last day, I finally saw Mount Fuji and the sea under a clear blue sky. It instantly felt worth it! The room size was excellent. We could open both our large suitcases and lay them flat. The hotel staff's service was a mixed bag. Some were exceptionally good, very meticulous, and happy to chat. Others were very robotic and rather impatient. This was especially true during breakfast. On the first morning, we arrived at 9:40 AM and were told that service would close promptly at 10:00 AM. So we quickly grabbed everything and started eating. When they began clearing up at 10:00 AM, I went to get an omelet. The chef jokingly told me it was the last one with a smile. I then went to the adjacent area to get a bowl of miso soup to take with me. While serving the soup, a staff member came to collect the kelp tongs. I asked her if she could wait until I was done using them, but she rolled her eyes and threw both tongs onto the table with a loud clatter. I was stunned. I turned around and saw that the aisle was already blocked off, and I was the only one left. I quickly left, feeling very awkward. The next day, when we went at 9:20 AM, there was a long queue. We weren't seated until 9:47 AM. There were queues in front of all the food stations, but thankfully, they extended service until 10:15 AM. The hotel has a convenience store, and buying bento, drinks, and snacks there is quite affordable. It's also great that you can book a bus directly from here to the airport. It would be even better if each room provided two bottles of water or if there were free scheduled shuttle buses to both Disney parks.
