Sofitel Hangzhou Westlake

Originally, I planned to stay from the 4th to the 11th, but due to a typhoon forecast, I checked out on the 10th instead. The hotel's location is excellent; it's right across the street from West Lake, and a short walk of less than 300 meters takes you to Intime Department Store. It's also very close to Hefang Street, Hangzhou Museum, Wulin Square, and the Intime in77 shopping area. We visited West Lake, Yanggong Dike, Wetland Park, Wushan, Zhejiang Museum, Hubin Intime in77, and Wulin Night Market, among others. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. All the hotel staff were enthusiastic and attentive. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the food quality was excellent. We had lunch and dinner at the Chinese restaurant from Tuesday to Thursday; the dishes were fresh, exquisite, and delicious – highly recommended. The buffet dinner on Saturday and Sunday was bountiful, with a wide variety of desserts that were beautifully presented. There were three flavors of crayfish, roasted lamb ribs, roasted pork hock, and very authentic and tasty lamb skewers. They also had salmon, tuna, Arctic surf clam, various shellfish, and cheese. I highly recommend the buffet dinner. This was my fourth trip to Hangzhou, and I'm already looking forward to the next one.

The location is absolutely unbeatable. West Lake is right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient. It's also not too far from Intime City (Yintai). Downstairs, there are plenty of electric scooters and bikes you can just scan and go. In the West Lake area, electric vehicles are much more convenient than cars. There's a parking lot, but spaces, especially in the underground parking, are limited.

We took our kids to Tonglu for the weekend and decided to visit West Lake, so we chose the Softel Hotel near the lake. We arrived on a busy, hot day when it felt like 'a billion people' were in Hangzhou, but it was great to wake up early and cycle around West Lake on an electric bike. Both the hardware (facilities) and service were very satisfactory.

The location is fantastic! I could walk to West Lake and Intime shopping mall, and it was easy to get to Hefang Street and the antique market – everything I wanted was right there. The room was also more spacious than average. A very satisfying vacation!

The rooms are clean and tidy, and the breakfast is rich and delicious. The front desk staff provide service with a smile. The location is excellent, just a stone's throw from West Lake; you just cross a tunnel and you're there. It's perfect for family trips and vacations.

The hotel's location is great, just a short walk through an underpass to West Lake. However, the breakfast had very few hot options. The front desk staff were extremely unskillful, and the manager on duty looked miserable and had terrible customer service. They treated foreign guests and local guests completely differently. Absolutely do not choose this rubbish hotel!

The hotel is right by West Lake. You can reach the lake shore by crossing Yongqing Passage. There's also a charming little rooftop garden at the hotel, offering lovely views of West Lake. It's beautifully maintained and very elegant. The breakfast spread is also excellent, and the staff are incredibly nice.
