Le Méridien Seoul, Myeongdong

The hotel was very clean overall, and the front desk staff spoke excellent English. There's also complimentary coffee and ice cream available on the fourth floor, right next to the front desk. On the ground floor (G level), there's a 24-hour CU convenience store, and the hotel is surrounded by a variety of restaurants. It seems the Western restaurant on the fourth floor only offers a dinner buffet, which I unfortunately didn't get to try this time.

The room was very clean and the service was excellent. The hotel is in a great location, convenient for getting around, and offers a fantastic shopping experience nearby.

The hotel is located in Myeongdong, right next to the Chinese Embassy, and very close to the street food alley. It's super convenient for shopping and eating. They even have all-you-can-eat Häagen-Dazs! The bathroom is also very spacious. The only minor issue was that the lobby was a bit hard to find at first.

The location downstairs is super convenient, with plenty of food options right on the ground floor. It's also right next to the Chinese Embassy in South Korea. It feels very safe to walk around, with lots of tourists nearby. Overall, it's pretty good.

The bigger the hope, the greater the disappointment. By domestic hotel standards, this place is essentially an upgraded budget hotel in terms of hardware. Regarding the service, every staff member I encountered greeted me warmly and proactively. When my ride-share dropped me off at ground level, two attendants helped me carry my luggage upstairs. Its location is absolutely unbeatable, right in Myeongdong. It's very close to Lotte Duty-Free, Shinsegae Duty-Free, and the Nanta show. My final conclusion is: Is it worth over 5,000 won for two nights? I can only say that the Wyndham I stayed at in Busan for just over 700 won felt more like a five-star hotel in terms of amenities, and it only cost a third of what I paid here.

This is a relatively new hotel near Myeongdong. They offer all-you-can-eat Haagen-Dazs and complimentary chocolates delivered to your room daily. However, the cleanliness was just so-so. Based on other reviews, it seems Chinese guests often get rooms with less-than-ideal views. I originally booked a double room and wanted to add an extra bed, but the front desk insisted on giving me a twin room, even emphasizing that they were two double beds. When I got in, the beds were at most 1.4 meters wide.

The room was very old, and more importantly, the hygiene was terrible. I woke up in the morning and found such a long hair! I booked a high-floor room but was assigned to the lowest floor.

This was my sixth time returning to the Le Méridien Seoul Myeongdong. As a loyal guest, the service here consistently maintains exceptionally high standards, never once disappointing us. The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of Myeongdong, within walking distance of two major department stores and subway lines 2 and 4. The airport bus goes directly to the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. My favorite heated pool facilities are still outstanding; the comfortable environment allows me to relax every single time. What surprised us most during this stay was the Club Lounge service. The quality of the food and beverages offered in the lounge was very high. The all-day selection of food and drinks was exquisite and delicious, especially the breakfast, which was truly excellent. The front desk staff were professional and enthusiastic. From pre-arrival email communication to all arrangements during our stay, everything was handled impeccably. The housekeeping team also did a very detailed job with cleaning. The room had ample water pressure and comfortable air conditioning, ensuring a high-quality sleep. Every time we return, we feel right at home. Whether it's the convenience, the facilities, or the staff's genuine and friendly hospitality, this hotel remains our only choice in Seoul. We will absolutely choose Le Méridien again on our next trip to Seoul!

The room was pretty standard, but the best part is that you're right in the Myeongdong shopping district as soon as you step out, next to the Chinese embassy. That gave me a real sense of security! It's super convenient for shopping, especially with all the cosmetics stores around. I even got my hair done. There are tons of food options too, mainly Korean BBQ, soy-marinated crab, and samgyetang, which are all local specialties. Overall, it was a good experience.
